Since we are featuring the products from the Oh Sew Suite Collection this week on Create with Connie and Mary Occasions Edition, I have almost all the products laying out on my desk! I grabbed them quickly to make a card for Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge TSSC162! I know…it is Tuesday, but I rarely get stamping things done when my husband is off for the holiday! It's been a long time since I've played along with her sketch!
Here is my card!
I started by wanting to use the piece of Sweet Stitches Designer Paper with the pretty stitched flowers in the corner. I had been saving it for something! Since the stitched flowers were a Very Vanilla color, I used a base card of Confetti Cream cardstock. I layered the DSP on Basic Gray cardstock for the front of the card. Then I stamped the sewing machine from Stampin' Up!'s Sew Suite Stamp Set in Black Stazon on another piece of Confetti Cream cardstock. I used my AquaPainter and the Stampin' Write Markers of Basic Black, Basic Gray, and Regal Rose to color in the sewing machine. At the bottom, I stamped "Thanks" from the Sale-A-Bration stamp set, So Happy For You…I love the greetings in that one!
Next I stamped the measuring tape with Black Stazon on Daffodil Delight and then just the end on Brushed Silver. I cut out the end from the Brushed Silver and placed it over the end of the Daffodil Delight one, and added a Silver Mini Brad! Makes it look REAL! I curved the cardstock and just added adhesive in the areas that actually touch the card…so it looks flexible. Finally, I added Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon to the center of the Sweet Stitches Designer Button and placed it with Mini Glue Dots on the front of the card. I think it added just the final touch of color and texture!
