Today we are back with our normal Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This time we have an awesome color combination for you all to try with CCMC150! The Challenge Team has come up with some awesome ideas, too, so make sure you check them out!
I started with a base of Not Quite Navy cardstock. I layered on a piece of Confetti White cardstock. In the background, I cut three strips in Poppy Parade, Not Quite Navy and Sahara Sand, then ran them thru the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Impressions Folder. I adhered them to the front, then used my Piercing Tool, Grid and Mat to pierce "stitched" holes in each of the sides of the strips. I used a Basic Black marker to draw the stitches. I added three Silver Jumbo Brads to the sides of the strips, too.
For the focal element, I stamped Stampin' Up!'s Sail Away image in Basic Black on Confetti White cardstock and layered it on Basic Black. It is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals on the front. I wrapped the Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine around and tied in the front. I stamped Way to Go from Stampin' Up!'s Happy Greetings Stamp Set with my Basic Black Marker on Sahara Sand, then punched with the Decorative Label Punch. It is cut in half lengthwise and tucked under the focal element.
I must say I really like my card! Why not try the color combination for yourself! Go to Create with Connie and Mary, check out the rest of the design team creations, then make your own. Upload it to Create with Connie and Mary.
