It's time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This is the one that EVERYONE can play along, we love to see what you do! Make your creation and then load it up over on Create with Connie and Mary! And, for more inspiration check out what the rest of the Design Team has done over there! We have a FUN sketch challenge for you!
And here is my card! I used Sail Away, one of the stamp sets featured this week on Create with Connie and Mary Summer Edition! Have you joined yet? It's not too late!
I started with a base of Cherry Cobbler cardstock. I wrapped the Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine around the stripe from Nautical Expedition Designer Paper and tied it with a knot. Then layered it on the base for the background. I stamped the Sail Away image in Basic Black on Whisper White and layered it on Basic Black. Then for the fun part! All the little punches! I stamped the anchor DSP with the 1 1/4" circle punch. I punched the steering wheel from another pattern with the 3/4 circle punch. I punched another 1 1/4 circle from Cherry Cobbler for the left side and used my piercing tool around the circle to punch some holes. In the center I pierced a hole and placed the large Jumbo brad in the center, it overlaps the edge of the Sail Away image.
Finally, I inked up the words Party Hearty from the block stamp in Everything Nice with the Night of Navy Stampin' Write Marker and punched with Word Window punch and layered it on the Modern Label Night of Navy cardstock. I placed it on top of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Stop over to Create with Connie and Mary and then play along! It's not too late to join us for the Summer Edition…we are BIGGER and BETTER than ever with great designers and FULL step-by-step photo tutorials for EVERY project!
Sharing creativity every stamped image at a time!
