CCMC321 Freaky Friends

This week we have a fun and unusual sketch challenge for you to try over on Create with Connie and Mary!  Go really simple…or add more if you want like I did!

 

Here’s my card:

 

I used Stampin’ Up!’s Freaky Friends stamp set for mine, along with the Skinny Mini Alphabet!  Wow…lining up the word on one block and stamping all at once really made it easy.  I had to leave a “space” for the second O in SPOOKY, I used the Q and took it off before stamping.  Then filled in the second O separately.  Here are the details:

• The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Basic Black, folded in half.
• On the 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Tangerine Tango, I used two 1/2″ strips from the Motley Monsters Designer Paper and crossed them according to the sketch.
• I stamped the SPOOKY greeting with the Skinny Mini Alphabet and Memento Black Ink.
• I used the eyeballs and Memento Black randomly in the background, too.
• I punched the Note Tag Punch from Sahara Sand cardstock and added a 1/2″ strip of the same DSP along the bottom.  I stamped the cat above it with Memento Black Ink and colored the eyes with Crushed Curry Marker.
• I punched the moon from Crushed Curry with the 3/4″ Circle Punch and sponged around the edges with Tangerine Tango Ink, then placed it in the corner of the Note Tag Punch.
• I stamped the bat with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White and cut it out, then placed on the edge of the tag on the moon.
• The tag was punched with the 1/8″ Circle and I added Hello Honey Ribbon tied with Basic Black Bakers Twine in a bow.  I added the tag to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
