Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. We have a timely color challenge for you this week, perfect for Valentine’s Day!
CHASING BUTTERFLIES
Chasing Butterflies is another cute stamp set that Stampin’ Up! has available to pick up FREE with a qualifying $50 purchase (US). This card is going out to my granddaughter for Valentine’s Day! (The boys are getting robot cards!) Did you notice her hair has Highland Heather highlights? Too funny!
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Highland Heather cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Sweet Talk Designer Paper was added to the bottom of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
- A 1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Real Red cardstock was added to hide the seam.
- The greeting from Chasing Butterflies was stamped with Real Red Ink above the DSP.
- The little girl from Chasing Butterflies was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with Highland Heather, Real Red, Dark So Saffron and SU900 Stampin’ Blends. The checks are Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. Note: The polka dots on her dress were just hand drawn.
- A few hearts cut from the Sweet Heart Dies were added to the background.
