CS227 – Endless Love

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Patterns”! Stampin’ Up! has fabulous designer paper with patterns. I used a Valentine one for this week!

ENDLESS LOVE

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Made with Love DSP is added to the front.
The 2-3/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock was cut with the tag heart from Endless Love Dies towards the top. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The XO and arrow were cut from Basic Gray cardstock and added around the heart.
The greeting from Endless Love stamp set was stamped with Real Red Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the tag from the Endless Love Dies. It was added under the heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A small heart was cut with the Die from Real Red cardstock and added next to the greeting.
Two hearts from the Loose Valentine’s Assortment were added next to the greeting.

CS123 – Sending Love

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. This month the theme is “NEW” cards…let’s use some of the new products in the Jan-Apr Mini Catalog and SAB Catalog on our cards!

SENDING LOVE

This is one of the bundles from the new mini that I just HAD to have! I love the mailbox and love letters! Here’s a simple card made using that bundle!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Black was added on top.
The 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the envelope randomly across the top half with Memento Black Ink. The greeting was stamped along the bottom.
A 1-1/4 strip of Bee Mine Designer Paper was added across the front.
The Modern Oval was punched from Poppy Parade cardstock and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The envelope was cut with the Sending Love Dies from Petal Pink cardstock, folded and glued, then added to the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A heart with cut from Poppy Parade cardstock with the Sending Love Die and added as a seal to the envelope.
The Petal Pink epoxy Adhesive Backed small red Hearts & Flowers was added to the cardstock heart. It added just the finishing touch!

LIGHTING THE WAY

I didn’t get a chance to share the Valentine I made my one grandson because I didn’t want him to see it before he got it! But I think this would be perfect for an anniversary/just because card for a camping lover!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Sweet Sorbet cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 1 x 3-3/4 piece of Country Floral Lane DSP was added to the bottom of a 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White cardstock.
The branch from Lighting the Way was stamped with Garden Green Ink in the upper right corner.
The lantern was cut from Soft Suede cardstock with the Lighting the Way Die. Before adhering, the heart from Country Bouquet was stamped with Sweet Sorbet Ink where the lantern globe would be. The lantern was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two bees were stamped with Memento Black Ink in the background and colored with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.
Be My Valentine from Share a Milkshake was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Sweet Sorbet and punched with the Double Oval Punch. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I think this card shares the love, don’t you? I love how it turned out and my grandson did, too! OK…next up on this short Control Freaks Blog Hop is the fabulous Wendy Weixler! I know you’ll enjoy her projects, too! She does BEAUTIFUL work!

CCMC753 – Country Bouquet

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This week is a fun sketch challenge!

COUNTRY BOUQUET

This is a slight variation of the card I used in my Valentine’s Buffet Class last week! It was a hit! It worked perfectly for today’s sketch challenge just by tweaking the measurements a little.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock was embosssed with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder and added to the front.
Two 3/8 x 3-1/2 strips of Mint Country Gingham DSP were added to the background.
The Decorative Circle was punched from Basic White cardstock and stamped with the greeting from Country Bouquet Stamp Set. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Country Bouquet large heart was punched from Country Gingham DSP, the leaves from Mint Macaron cardstock and the small heart from Sweet Sorbet cardstock. All were added to the Decorative Circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
An Iridescent Rhinestone was added to the small heart for a little bling.

CS72 – Country Bouquet

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…we are kicking off the new year with the theme of “LOVE”. Time to get ready for Valentine’s Day, right? We’ll create a simple card every Tuesday in January using that theme!

COUNTRY BOUQUET

Here’s another simple card using the Country Bouquet punch! I love this layout…in fact I’m using almost the same card for my Stamp Club this month!

Stampin’ Details:

Base is 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 Petal Pink cardstock.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Country Floral Lane DSP is added on top.
The 3 x 8-1/2 piece of Thick Basic White cardstock is scored at 4-1/4. The front is cut with the Something Fancy Die centered.
The heart and leaves were punched with the Country Bouquet Punch from the Country Gingham DSP and added to the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting and small heart were stamped with Sweet Sorbet Ink. The small heart was punched with the Country Bouquet Punch and added next to the larger heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Four red Festive Pearls were added to the corners and one silver Festive Pearl to the small heart.

CS71 – Country Bouquet

COUNTRY BOUQUET

I love the simplicity of the Country Bouquet Stamp Set and coordinating Punch! I combined the bright colors I used with a crisp white background on today’s Creatively Simple card!

Stampin’ Details:

Base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder and added to the front.
The heart was stamped three times with Sweet Sorbet Ink on Basic White cardstock and punched.
The leaf duo was inked three times with Parakeet Party Ink, then sponged with Garden Green Ink before stamping on Basic White cardstock, then punched.
The hearts and leaves were assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
With Love was stamped with Garden Green Ink on 1/2 x 1-1/2 Basic White cardstock and the end cut at an angle.
It was layered on a 1/4 x 2-1/4 strip of Sweet Sorbet cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three Elegant Gems were added to the hearts for a little bling.

CS70 – Love Cats

LOVE CATS

I just HAD to purchase the Love Cats stamp set…why? I LOVE cats!!! I seriously would love to get another one! Our Bleach has been gone for over 5 years now.

Stampin’ Details:

Base is 4-1/4 x 11 MInt Macaron cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Country Floral Lane Designer Paper was added on top.
A 3 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic White was cut towards the top with the Stylish Shapes square. The greeting was stamped with Real Red Ink on the bottom portion. It was added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The cat was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White and hand-cut, then added to the “window”. The eyes were colored with Dark Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends.
Three of the small hearts were punched from Real Red using the Country Bouquet Punch. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Small Heart Pearls were added to the punched hearts.

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. We have a timely color challenge for you this week, perfect for Valentine’s Day!

CHASING BUTTERFLIES

Chasing Butterflies is another cute stamp set that Stampin’ Up! has available to pick up FREE with a qualifying $50 purchase (US). This card is going out to my granddaughter for Valentine’s Day! (The boys are getting robot cards!) Did you notice her hair has Highland Heather highlights? Too funny!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Highland Heather cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Sweet Talk Designer Paper was added to the bottom of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
A 1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Real Red cardstock was added to hide the seam.
The greeting from Chasing Butterflies was stamped with Real Red Ink above the DSP.
The little girl from Chasing Butterflies was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with Highland Heather, Real Red, Dark So Saffron and SU900 Stampin’ Blends. The checks are Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. Note: The polka dots on her dress were just hand drawn.
A few hearts cut from the Sweet Heart Dies were added to the background.
