It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This week is a color combination. .
I don’t know why, but I really struggled with this challenge. Not sure why! I tried a couple cards and ended up with this Best Butterflies one, but I used the greeting from Charming Sentiments! I love that we have DIES that cut out the sentiments!
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Night of Navy cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 3 x 4 piece of diagonal wood print from Heart & Home Designer Paper (retiring soon!) was added to the bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White.
- The 1/8 x 4 piece of Pale Papaya cardstock hides the seam.
- The butterfly wings were stamped with Sweet Sorbet and Pale Papaya Ink, the body with Night of Navy Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Build a Butterfly Dies. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- I molded the dashed lines into a squiggle and stamped with Night of Navy Ink under the bottom of the butterfly on the DSP to show the “trail” of the butterfly.
- Good Luck from Charming Sentiments was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Sentiments Dies. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Four of the Papaya Polished Dots were added to the background for a little bling!
