Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Christmas” and we each create a simple card every week using that theme! We are definitely on the countdown to Christmas now!
I’ve been surprised how much I ended up using the Whimsical Trees Bundle, especially the dies! However, this tree die cut has been sitting on my desk for a while from another project I started. I also haven’t used the Stitched Whimsy dies lately. Thought it was perfect to frame my tree this week! Check out yesterday’s Snowbody Better card for the same concept that I used on THIS card! They do look totally different!
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- I used the rectangle from the Stitched Whimsy Dies in the background on the front, centered.
- A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Basic White was torn across the top, then added to the bottom.
- The tree was cut from Shaded Spruce cardstock with the Christmas Tree Dies, then adhered to Basic White and trimmed around the edges to give it a look of snow on the branches. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Happy Holidays from Poinsettia Petals was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock, then punched with the Double Oval Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A trio of iridescent Cute Stars were added to the background and the tree.
