Saturday Blog Hop – Black & Gold Christmas

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s challenge is “Black & Gold Christmas”.

MODERN CHRISTMAS DESIGNER PAPER

This card came together TOO easy! No stamping…just DSP and dies!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3 x 4 piece of Modern Christmas striped DSP as added across the front.
The 2-1/4 x 4-1/2 strip of Basic Black cardstock was embossed with the Eyelet Embossing Folder and added to the front towards the right side.
The tag was cut with the Patterned Tags Die and tied with some Gold & White Twine in a bow at the top, then added to the black towards the right side with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The trees were cut from the DSP with paper snips and added to the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Season’s Greetings is one of the Greetings for You Mix & Match Ephemera Pack…it was gold, so it worked perfectly! I forgot I had gotten them as a prize on the Incentive Trip.
A trio of gold Opal Rounds Assortment were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Casing Debbie Henderson 2023

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop. For the next several weeks we will be “Casing the Designer”. Each week we have picked a designer and will select a card she designed. We will use the Colors and Layout of her design and recreate our version using stamps/bundles from the September-December Mini Catalog!

This week we are “Casing Debbie Henderson”! Here’s her Halloween card that I chose from last year’s holiday catalog.

BEARY CUTE

And here’s how I updated her card using the new Beary Cute Bundle for a quick Christmas card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Starry Sky cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Parakeet Party was added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the two outline trees on each side with Memento Black Ink. The greeting was stamped with Parakeet Party Ink.
On a scrap Basic White cardstock, the tree outline was stamped in Memento Black and the detail branches with Parakeet Party Ink. It was hand-cut and added to the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A 3/8 x 3/4 piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock was added for the tree trunk.
The small snowflake from Beary Cute was stamped three times in the background with Starry Sky Ink.
Some orange Iridescent Pastel Gems were added to the center tree.

Yeah! I matched the colors and the layout but changed it to a Christmas card! How fun! OK, next up on our blog hop is our Create with Connie and Mary website, then on to creative Mary Brown, or head backwards to see Melissa Davies’ fabulous project and see what everyone did with this challenge!

Creatively Simple 16 – Christmas

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Christmas” and we each create a simple card every week using that theme! We are definitely on the countdown to Christmas now!

I’ve been surprised how much I ended up using the Whimsical Trees Bundle, especially the dies! However, this tree die cut has been sitting on my desk for a while from another project I started. I also haven’t used the Stitched Whimsy dies lately. Thought it was perfect to frame my tree this week! Check out yesterday’s Snowbody Better card for the same concept that I used on THIS card! They do look totally different!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
I used the rectangle from the Stitched Whimsy Dies in the background on the front, centered.
A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Basic White was torn across the top, then added to the bottom.
The tree was cut from Shaded Spruce cardstock with the Christmas Tree Dies, then adhered to Basic White and trimmed around the edges to give it a look of snow on the branches. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Happy Holidays from Poinsettia Petals was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock, then punched with the Double Oval Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of iridescent Cute Stars were added to the background and the tree.

CCMC689 Whimsical Trees

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This week is a fun sketch challenge!

WHIMSICAL TREES BUNDLE

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE the little bottle brush trees in the Whimsical Trees Stamp Set? So much fun! I let my card focus on the small trees in this set!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whimsy & Wonder Designer Paper (love that subtle print!)
A 2-1/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock was stamped with the greeting from Whimsical Trees in Misty Moonlight Ink in the upper left corner.
A 7/8 x 5 piece of striped Whimsy & Wonder DSP was cut on the end at an angle and added across the front.
a 1/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Silver Foil was added on top and cut the end at an angle, too.
The small tree was stamped off with Polished Pink Ink and the bottle brush tree stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink on Basic White cardstock. They were cut with the Christmas Tree Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The garland and ornaments were cut from Polished Pink cardstock and added to the trees.
Two iridescent Cute Stars were added to the tree tops.
