Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Birthday”, and we each create a simple card every week using that theme!
I’ve used Stampin’ Up!’s Your Biggest Fan Bundle on today’s card…it is a recent addition to my collection! A couple of my grandkids are playing sports now, so figure it will get some use! I like that you can cut the DSP with the dies like I did here.
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Night of Navy cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Very Vanilla cardstock is added on top.
- The 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Hey Sports Fan DSP was placed across the front.
- The pennant from the DSP was cut with the Sports Events Die. The fringe of the pennant was cut with the die from Night of Navy cardstock and the row of tickets from Real Red cardstock.
- They were assembled on the front and the pennant is added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The small ticket was cut from Real Red cardstock and just the stars used for the background.
- Happy Birthday was stamped with Night of Navy Ink.
To simplify the supplies, the pennant could be hand-cut from the DSP (but the dies make it VERY nice to cut!) Make sure to check out what Mary did this week for her “Birthday” Creatively Simple card over on Create with Connie and Mary! Stay tuned next week for another Creatively Simple card!
