Hello!  It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  We have fun color combination.  When I laid out the colors on my desk, the bright colors immediately reminded me of SPORTS teams!

YOUR BIGGEST FAN

I really love the Hey Sports Designer Paper…the images are easy to cut out.  I’ve paired it with the coordinating Your Biggest Fan stamp set and Sports Events Dies!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Night of Navy cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 1-3/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Hey Sports Fan Designer Paper was added to the right side.
  • A coordinating 1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of striped Hey Sports Fan DSP was added on top.
  • A few stars were stamped with Night of Navy Ink in the corners of the base card.
  • The 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Very Vanilla cardstock was stamped with Happy Birthday in Night of Navy Ink and the stars with Bumblebee Ink using the Your Biggest Fan Stamp Set.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The row of tickets was cut with the Sports Events Dies from Night of Navy cardstock and adhered across the front.
  • The Yah pennant was cut from the DSP and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The #1 was cut with the Dies from Bumblebee cardstock and added with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • The ticket was cut with the Dies from Poppy Parade cardstock and added under the Very Vanilla panel and the stars added to the background.
  • I colored some White Baker’s Twine with Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends.  Let dry and then tied in a bow around the stem of the pennant.

Creatively Simple 24 – Your Biggest Fan

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Birthday”, and we each create a simple card every week using that theme!

I’ve used Stampin’ Up!’s Your Biggest Fan Bundle on today’s card…it is a recent addition to my collection!  A couple of my grandkids are playing sports now, so figure it will get some use!  I like that you can cut the DSP with the dies like I did here.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Night of Navy cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Very Vanilla cardstock is added on top.
  • The 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Hey Sports Fan DSP was placed across the front.
  • The pennant from the DSP was cut with the Sports Events Die.  The fringe of the pennant was cut with the die from Night of Navy cardstock and the row of tickets from Real Red cardstock.
  • They were assembled on the front and the pennant is added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The small ticket was cut from Real Red cardstock and just the stars used for the background.
  • Happy Birthday was stamped with Night of Navy Ink.

To simplify the supplies, the pennant could be hand-cut from the DSP (but the dies make it VERY nice to cut!)  Make sure to check out what Mary did this week for her “Birthday” Creatively Simple card over on Create with Connie and Mary!  Stay tuned next week for another Creatively Simple card!
