Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Animals”! It’s the last one with this theme! Since I just received my preorder, I’ve been anxious to play with this stamp set, Autumn Trees.
AUTUMN TREES
I always like tree sets and this one comes with bonus deer! Our home backs to woods, so we see a lot of deer passing by. One of the mamas had twins this spring!
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Need for Tweed DSP was added across the bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Old Olive cardstock.
- Some Early Espresso Linen Thread was wrapped around twice and secured in the back, then the layer added to the base card.
- Basic White cardstock was cut with the Textured Notes Die and stamped with the Autumn Trees tree on each end in Old Olive Ink, then down at the bottom for “shrubs” twice.
- The ground was colored with Dark Crumb Cake and the tree limbs with Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. The tree leaves were colored with Lemon Lime Twist Combo Stampin’ Blends.
- The deer was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Basic White and colored with the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends, then cut with the Autumn Trees Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The greeting from Amber Autumn stamp set was stamped with Pecan Pie on Basic Beige cardstock and cut with the Textured Notes Die, then added to the front.
- A trio of green Low Profile Sparkle Dots were added to the background and label.
