IM416 – Ornamental Christmas

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a pretty mountain scene!

ORNAMENTAL CHRISTMAS

You’ll have to look closely to see the majority of stamping on this card!  I used the evergreen tree from the Ornamental Christmas Stamp Set with Mossy Meadow Ink across the bottom of the striped Celebratory Sips Designer Paper!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1//4 x 11 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock was stamped with the Ornamental Christmas greeting at the bottom with Mossy Meadow Ink.
  • The Black & Gold Twine was wrapped several times around the Basic Beige layer and tied in a bow at the left side.  The cardstock was added to the base card.
  • The green stripe Celebratory Sips DSP was torn across the top and stamped across with the pine tree from Ornamental Christmas in Mossy Meadow Ink.  It was adhered to a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Misty Moonlight,
  • A larger piece of Basic Beige cardstock was torn across the top, then brushed with Basic Beige Ink on the torn edges and tucked above the green DSP.
  • A white panel was hand-cut into a “mountain” background and added above the Basic Beige torn piece.
  • The deer from Autumn Trees Dies were cut from Basic Black cardstock and added to the front of the stamped green stripe DSP.
  • All the layers were then cut with the Perennial Postage Die.  It was set slightly off center on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A 1″ circle was cut from Basic White cardstock for the moon.

CS213 – Autumn Trees

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Autumn Wishes”!  I love watching the sunrise through the trees around our house!

AUTUMN TREES

Again…I’m back with my little deer family die cut from Autumn Trees!  This time I create a pretty sunrise or sunset background for them!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and foled.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic Beige cardstock was added on top.
  • Two 1 x 5-1/4 strips of Timeless Plaid DSP were added to the left side.
  • a 1/2 x 3-1/4 strip of coordinating Timeless Plaid DSP was added across them, centered.
  • The greeting from Artistic Leaves stamp set was stamped in the lower right corner with Lost Lagoon Ink.
  • The circle was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Spotlight on Nature Dies.  It was brushed with Timid Tiger, Daffodil Delight and Lost Lagoon Inks to resemble a sunrise (or sunset!).
  • The deer were cut from Basic Black cardstock using the Autumn Trees Die, then added to the circle.
  • The bottom was trimmed off below the deer, then the circle added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Low-Profile Shimmer Dots were added to the background.

IM403 – Autumn Trees

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a sweet nature print of a deer!

AUTUMN TREES

We have a lot of deer who live behind our house in the trees…I never get tired of looking at them!  This year we had a set of twins born…they were so cute frolicking around!  They don’t get too far from mama when they are young.  I think that is why I love this die-cut!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Mossy Meadow cardstock was added on top.
  • The 1 x 5 stripe of Autumn Toile DSP was added to the left side.
  • The 2 x 4 piece of coordinating DSP was colored with Mossy Meadow Ink using a Blending Brush, then added to the front.
  • The deer were cut from Early Espresso cardstock with the Autumn Trees Die and trimmed, then added to the front with Monoadhesive Glue.
  • The greeting from Simply Said stamp set was stamped with Early Espresso Ink in the background.
  • A trio of Iridescent Foil Gems were added to the background.

CS208 – Autumn Trees

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Animals”!  It’s the last one with this theme!  Since I just received my preorder, I’ve been anxious to play with this stamp set, Autumn Trees.

AUTUMN TREES

I always like tree sets and this one comes with bonus deer!  Our home backs to woods, so we see a lot of deer passing by.  One of the mamas had twins this spring!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Need for Tweed DSP was added across the bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Old Olive cardstock.
  • Some Early Espresso Linen Thread was wrapped around twice and secured in the back, then the layer added to the base card.
  • Basic White cardstock was cut with the Textured Notes Die and stamped with the Autumn Trees tree on each end in Old Olive Ink, then down at the bottom for “shrubs” twice.
  • The ground was colored with Dark Crumb Cake and the tree limbs with Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.  The tree leaves were colored with Lemon Lime Twist Combo Stampin’ Blends.
  • The deer was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Basic White and colored with the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends, then cut with the Autumn Trees Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Amber Autumn stamp set was stamped with Pecan Pie on Basic Beige cardstock and cut with the Textured Notes Die, then added to the front.
  • A trio of green Low Profile Sparkle Dots were added to the background and label.
