It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! For each Thursday in July, we pick a different sample from Stampin’ Up’s! Annual Catalog to use as our inspiration. We are not copying the card but using it to inspire our creation…maybe we use the same set or the colors or the layout or some combination of all the above…it is fun seeing where the inspiration piece will take each of the designers! Here’s this week’s inspiration:
CHARMING DAY
The flowers in Charming Day are SO pretty and I immediately thought of that stamp set when I saw this layout! And the coordinating designer paper is GORGEOUS!
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Petunia Pop cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Floral Charm DSP was added on top.
- The reverse Night of Navy floral side was cut to four pieces 1-3/4 x 1-3/4 and added to the center.
- The small Charming Day flower was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Petunia Pop, Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends. It was punched with the 2″ Circle Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The Charming Day greeting was stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink on 1/2 x 2 strip of Basic White cardstock and brushed with Petunia Pop Ink using a Blending Brush. The ends were cut at an angle and added to the front.
- A trio of Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots were added to the background.
