Saturday Blog Hop – Fall Flowers

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week’s challenge is “Fall Flowers”!

CHARMING DAY

This bundle is still one of my favorites!  I especially love cutting this flower die cut from Basic White cardstock and coloring with Blending Brushes like I did here!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Peaceful Greenery Embossing Folder (I think this is one of the BEST Embossing Folders!) and added to the front.
  • The flower cluster was cut with the Charming Day Die from Basic White cardstock and colored with Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Old Olive Inks using Blending Brushes.
  • Two stem branches were cut from Pecan Pie cardstock and brushed with Pecan Pie Ink.
  • All were added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Charming Day greeting was stamped with Pecan Pie on 3/4 x 3 strip of Basic White cardstock and the end cut at an angle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Cajun Craze & Gold Dots were added to the background.

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This month we will be featuring song titles with colors in them!  This week’s theme is “Blue Ain’t Your Color” by Keith Urban.  We are to use any color blue on our cards!

CHARMING DAY

I guess I’m on a roll using the Charming Day stamp set for my Saturday Blog Hops!  This one I combined with the gorgeous Peaceful Garden Designer Paper…it is definitely not all Christmas!  It is in the upcoming Sept-Dec Mini Catalog.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cloud Cover cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Secret Sea was added on top.
  • The floral Peaceful Garden DSP was cut to 3-3/4 x 5 and added to the front.
  • The coordinating star Peaceful Garden DSP was cut to 1-1/4 x 3-3/4 and added towards the bottom.
  • Happy Birthday from Charming Day was stamped with Secret Sea Ink on 1 x 3-3/4 strip of Cloud Cover cardstock and added to the front above the DSP.
  • The flower from Charming Day was cut with the Die from Basic White cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • A blue 2025-27 In Color Flat Pearl was added to the flower top.

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This month we will be featuring song titles with colors in them!  This week’s theme is “Color My World”…we are choosing to feature our FAVORITE Stampin’ Up! color!

CHARMING DAY

I wonder why I even came up with this week’s theme…it was SO hard to just choose ONE color out of all the awesome Stampin’ Up! colors!  But I narrowed it down to Lemon Lime Twist as my favorite color overall.  I was SO happy when Stampin’ Up! brought this color back into the lineup from a previous In Color platform!  I couldn’t find any Lemon Lime Twist designer paper that I wanted to use, so created my own from black & white designer paper!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Botanical Textures Designer Paper was colored with Lemon Lime Twist Ink using a Blending Brush.  It was added to the front.
  • The banner was cut from Basic White cardstock using the Party Banners Die and added to the front.
  • The Charming Day flower was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Lemon Lime Twist and Timid Tiger Stampin’ Blends (that’s my favorite In Color right now, too!)  It was cut with the Charming Day die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Two leaf branches were cut from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock using the Die and tucked under the flower, adhering with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Charming Day greeting was stamped along the top with Memento Black Ink.
  • A trio of Iridescent Faceted Gems were added to the background.

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  For each Thursday in July, we pick a different sample from Stampin’ Up’s! Annual Catalog to use as our inspiration.  We are not copying the card but using it to inspire our creation…maybe we use the same set or the colors or the layout or some combination of all the above…it is fun seeing where the inspiration piece will take each of the designers!  Here’s this week’s inspiration:

CHARMING DAY

The flowers in Charming Day are SO pretty and I immediately thought of that stamp set when I saw this layout!  And the coordinating designer paper is GORGEOUS!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Petunia Pop cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Floral Charm DSP was added on top.
  • The reverse Night of Navy floral side was cut to four pieces 1-3/4 x 1-3/4 and added to the center.
  • The small Charming Day flower was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Petunia Pop, Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends.  It was punched with the 2″ Circle Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Charming Day greeting was stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink on 1/2 x 2 strip of Basic White cardstock and brushed with Petunia Pop Ink using a Blending Brush.  The ends were cut at an angle and added to the front.
  • A trio of Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots were added to the background.

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week our theme is “Black & White”.  I pulled out the Botanical Textures Designer Paper that has ALL black and white prints!

I still had Charming Day sitting out on my desk and thought the dies would make a great contrast with the DSP!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 panel of Botanical Textures DSP was added on top.
  • The 2-3/4 x 4-3/4 panel of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder and added at an angle on the front of the card.
  • The Charming Day Dies were cut from Basic Black cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Charming Day was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 3/4 x 3 strip of Basic White cardstock.  The end was cut at an angle and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Neutral Matte Dots were added to the background.

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week our theme is “Summer Flowers”.  I love all the bright colors of flowers you see in flowerpots and flower beds!  Always so cheerful!

I have bright pink in my flower beds and flowerpots this year, so I went with that color on today’s card!  And I love the prints in the Flora Charm Designer Paper…kind of a modern twist on some vintage prints!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Petunia Pop cardstock was added on top.
  • Two 1-1/2 x 4 pieces of Floral Charm Designer Paper were added to the top and bottom.
  • The floral bunch was cut with the die from Basic Beige cardstock and added to the left side with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Happy Birthday was stamped with Petunia Pop Ink on a 3/4 x 3 strip of Basic Beige and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of navy Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots were added in the background.

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week our theme is “Birthday Wishes”.  In June, our family has SO many birthdays!!!  I seem to always use up my stash of cards during this time of year!  I had originally thought to do a masculine card, but this new Charming Day bundle has been calling my name!

CHARMING DAY

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cloud Cover cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Birchwood Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • Two of the leaf branches were cut from Cloud Cover cardstock using the Die and added to the front.
  • The small floral image was stamped twice with Cloud Cover Ink and cut with the Dies, then added over the branches.
  • The greeting was stamped with Cloud Cover Ink on 3/4 x 3 strip of Basic White cardstock and tucked under the flowers.
  • A trio of 2025-27 In Color Flat Pearls were added to the center of the flowers and the background.
