August 30, 2012 By Connie | 14 Comments

Oh my!!!  Are you enjoying PREVIEW WEEK with FREE TUTORIALS over on Create with Connie and Mary?  Are you taking advantage of the BLOG CANDY?  We are giving away SIX free subscriptions to the Holiday Edition 2012!  Already subscribed?  Don't worry…we'll apply your win towards the Occasions 2013 Edition!!!  It's a WIN-WIN for you!  But…you need to be checking out who has the BLOG CANDY every day this week!!!  Today we have a little Scavenger Hunt going on at Create with Connie and Mary's blog…you need to find the secret word on my blog and all the others, then put the sentence together!  Make sure to check that out and play along for the free subscription drawing!

As for the Thursday challenge…we have a fun color challenge!  Check it out!

And…here's my card…the colors inspired fall leaves for me!

I started with a base of Night of Navy and layered on Whisper White.  I added a strip of the Rich Razzleberry circles pattern in Polka Dot Parade DSP across the bottom.  To hide the seam, I used the Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon, and added a fun SLIDE to it!  I stamped the Rich Razzleberry leaf directly on the Whisper White, then stamped a smaller one in Night of Navy and cut with the Leaves die.  I used the Woodgrain Impressions folder on the Lucky Limeade one for texture.  I tied some Lucky Limeade Bakers Twine in a bow and added it to the bottom stems.  My secret Create word is almost.  Finally, I added "Imagine the Possibilities" from Word Play in Night of Navy in the upper right corner.

Remember, the Early Bird Price of $24.95 US is almost over!!!  Don't miss out on saving $5 off the regular $29.95 US price for 5 full weeks of over 30 step-by-step tutorials!  You are going to LOVE these projects, featuring items from the Holiday Mini catalog…a little Halloween, Fall AND lots of Christmas and Winter projects!  We have a FABULOUS creative team!  Don't miss out!  Check out the Create with Connie and Mary site for more information!

I love stamping cards, altering 3D items and making little favors. I've been stamping for over 19 years and had my 18th year Stampin' Up! anniversary in early May. I love being part of something that sparks my creativity and hear people comment, "you MADE this?" I also enjoy sharing that passion with others in my classes! If you live anywhere in the Delaware, Dublin, Powell, Lewis Center, Hilliard or surrounding Columbus, Ohio areas, join us! I love to meet new stamping friends. Email me for a current class schedule... I'm adding new classes all the time!

Really cute!  Love the leaves and the little ribbon slide.  Sorry I'm late!  House projects took up most of my day.  Love the card!
