Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a bunch of acorns!
AMBER AUTUMN
We have several huge OLD oak trees in our backyard! So many that in a bad windstorm, the acorns will start pinging the house! And, during the fall, the squirrels are SO busy gathering all the nuts before the winter weather arrives. Funny to see them so busy! Today’s inspiration reminded me that time of year will soon be here!
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock was embossed with the Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder (available Sept 3) and adhered to the front.
- A 3 x 3-1/2 piece of woodgrain Gathering Together Designer Paper was added towards the left with a 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Old Olive stripe was added across it.
- The acorn was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake, Lemon Lime Twist and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 Basic White cardstock and the end cut at an angle. It was added over the green stripe with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Some Early Espresso Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the stem of the acorn.
- A trio of Neutral Matte Dots were added to the background.
