This week’s blog hop theme is Birthday cards! I don’t know about you, but we get hit with LOTS of birthdays in June, October and December! They are all clustered together! So…thought it would be fun to get some new birthday card ideas!
SWEETS & TREATS
I matched up the Sweets & Treats stamp set with the Seasonal Swirls Dies for a sweet wreath card! I was thinking it would be kind of fun to have a cupcake wreath hanging on my front door during my birthday month!
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 So Saffron cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
- A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Pattern Party Designer Paper (Host only option) was added to the bottom, with a 1/4 x 4 strip of So Saffron cardstock added on top to hide the seam.
- The greenery wreath was cut from Pear Pizzazz cardstock and Rose Gold Metallic Paper. They were intertwined together and added to the front with Tombow Monoadhesive Glue.
- Two cupcakes and the heart from Sweets & Treats stamp set were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock. They were colored with Flirty Flamingo, So Saffron, and Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. They were hand-cut and added to the wreath with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Happy birthday from Sweets & Treats was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 So Saffron cardstock, the end cut at an angle and added to the wreath with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Some Artistry Blooms Sequins were added to the icing, heart and the wreath for a little more bling!
