I pulled out my Heron Habitat Bundle to use. At our Florida house, we live by the White Heron Golf Course, named for the birds in the area, but I’ve seen blue and even PINK ones there.
HERON HABITAT
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Orchid Oasis cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White is added on top.
- A 2 x 4 piece of Orchid Oasis In Color Designer Paper was added across the front.
- The Fabulous Frame was cut from Starry Sky with the Die, and then cut again from Watercolor Paper. I used the inside of the frame and watercolored Balmy Blue Reinker for the top and Crumb Cake Reinker for the bottom. (I know…strange that the Balmy Blue color changed so much!)
- The birds in the background were stamped with Starry Sky Ink.
- The seagrass was cut from Crumb Cake cardstock with the Heron Dies and added inside the frame.
- The blue heron was stamped with Basic Gray Ink, then colored with Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends, then colored over with Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends to mute the colors a little. Dark Pumpkin Pie was used for the beak. It was cut with the Heron Dies and added to the frame with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Enjoy Your Day from Heron Habitat was stamped with Starry Sky Ink on a 1/2 x 2 piece of Orchid Oasis cardstock and added to the front with a Dimensional.
- Some Faux Sea Glass Shapes were added to the ground.
