It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week we are featuring our favorite January-April Mini Catalog Bundle! I’ve used SEVERAL new Mini Catalog items on here…can you spot them?
OCEAN FRIENDS
I really like this new Ocean Friends bundle…especially the bright colors in the designer paper! But I wanted to go for a little different look on today’s card! I recreated a card that I made YEARS ago using By the Tide and a lobster pot. Here’s my version of a blue crab pot!
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Boho Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Soft Waves Embossing Folder and added to the front.
- A 2 x 4 piece of Country Woods Designer Paper was added along the bottom.
- The scallop border from the Ocean Friends Dies was cut from Basic Gray cardstock and added across the top of the DSP.
- The stove pot was punched with the Modern Oval Punch from Gray Granite cardstock and the top portion trimmed off for the lid.
- Two “handles” were cut from Basic Gray cardstock using the “U” from the Mini Alphabet Die. The handle on the lid was cut from the bottom of the Cedilla accent letter. All were added to the stove pot and lid, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The crab from Ocean Friends outline was stamped with Gorgeous Grape Ink and the inside with Boho Blue Ink and cut with the Ocean Friends Die, then added to the pot with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Love you was stamped with Boho Blue Ink on 1/2 x 2 piece of Basic White cardstock and the ends cut at an angle, then added to the pot.
- A trio of aqua Tinsel Gems Three Pack were added in the background.
