CSF862 – Ocean Friends Favor

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  This week is a cheerful color combination to inspire you!

OCEAN FRIENDS

Serendipity!!!  So, normally we do cards for our challenges, but I’ve been wanting to show off these favors that I made for a few of my friends who were on the Royal Caribbean crafting cruise with me a couple weeks ago!  This package just happened to be the colors for today’s challenge!  We had a blast!  Cruising…and crafting…two of my favorite things!  These little “hot hands” are to hold your craft project while heat embossing, gluing, or any other time you need an extra hand!  I thought they were so fun and came in a variety of colors.  This one I saved for myself because I love the Lemon Lime Twist color!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The tag is the solid center shape from the Meant to Bee Dies cut from Summer Splash cardstock.  It was stamped with the bubbles in Summer Splash ink randomly in the background.
  • The coral was cut with the Ocean Friends Die from Calypso Coral cardstock, then cut in half.  It was added to the die cut tag.
  • The crab was stamped with Lemon Lime Twist outline and stamped off solid image on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Ocean Friends Die.  It was tucked in the coral with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Ocean Friends was stamped with Summer Splash Ink on 1/2 x 3 piece of Basic White and the ends cut at an angle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A coral Sunny Day Iridescent Dot was added to the background.
  • The top was punched with 1/8″ Circle Punch (retired) and tied around the 3 x 9 Printed Gusseted Cello Bag (retired).
  • The cello bag was tied closed with a 1-1/2 Gold Open Weave Trim in a bow.

This month our Creatively Simple challenge theme is Designer Paper as the focus on our cards!

OCEAN FRIENDS

I know I’ve said this before, but I love the colors in this Friends of the Ocean DSP!  So vibrant!  This week’s design features three of the patterns in that package!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded. 
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Summer Sky cardstock is added on top.
  • Three patterns from the Friends of the Ocean DSP were cut 1 x 4-3/4 and added to the front.
  • A 1 x 4-1/4 strip of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Ocean Friends greeting in Summer Sky Ink towards the right side.
  • The two seaweeds were cut with the dies from Summer Sky cardstock and added along the top of the Basic White strip.
  • The Ocean Friends crab was stamped with the outline in Summer Sky Ink and the solid inside with Lemon Lime Twist Ink.  It was cut with the die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Transparent Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the background.

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a colorful sea creative!

OCEAN FRIENDS

Of course, I had to use our Ocean Friends stamp set for my card!  I love this bundle…so fun…and a nice departure from flowers!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Blueberry Bushel was embossed with the Soft Waves Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • A 2 x 4 piece of Timeless Plaid Designer Paper was added across the center.
  • I cut the Basic Beige cardstock with the Everyday Arches Dies and stamped across the bottom with the coral image in Basic Beige Ink.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The large coral was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Ocean Friends Die and cut in half.  I only used a portion of it on the arch.
  • I stamped the lobster outline with Blueberry Bushel Ink on Basic White cardstock and the solid lobster with Azure Afternoon (I love the bright blue!)  It was cut with the Ocean Friends Die and added to the arch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • I omit stamped only the word Hello on a 1/2 x 2 strip of Basic White with Blueberry Bushel Ink and cut the end at an angle.
  • A trio of Antique Pearls were added in the background.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the coral with a Mini Glue Dot.

CSF857 – Ocean Friends

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  This week is a new sketch challenge!  We hope you play along!

OCEAN FRIENDS

I am really loving this Ocean Friends bundle and the DSP!  So colorful!  Here’s another card I did using the sketch and this set!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Summer Splash cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White is embossed with the Soft Waves Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • A 2 x 3-3/4 piece of Friends of the Ocean starfish print DSP was added to a 2-1/4 x 4 piece of Summer Splash cardstock and adhered to the front.
  • A 1-1/2 x 5 strip of coordinating Friends of the Ocean stripe DSP was added diagonally across the front and trimmed.
  • The Spotlight on Nature circle was cut from Granny Apple Green and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The coral was cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock and then cut in half.  I used a portion and adhered on the right of the circle.
  • The crab outline was stamped with Summer Splash Ink on Basic White cardstock and the insides stamped off with Summer Splash Ink for a lighter version.  It was cut with the Die and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals around the coral.
  • A trio of Sunny Day Iridescent Dots were added to the background, one in each color.
  • Hello only was inked with Summer Splash ink and stamped on 1/2 x 2 piece of Basic White cardstock and the end trimmed at an angle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Saturday Blog Hop – Casing Debbie Henderson 2025

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. For the next several weeks we will be “Casing the Designer”. Each week we have picked a designer and will select a card she designed from the past year. We will use the Colors and Layout of her design and recreate our version using new stamps/bundles and products!

This week we are “Casing Debbie Henderson”!  Here’s her flower card from last year that I chose to CASE.

OCEAN FRIENDS

And here’s how I updated her card using the new Ocean Friends Bundle for a fun card!  I loved the colors!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Blueberry Bushel cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Summer Sky 2024-26 In Color 6×6 DSP was cut with the circle from Spotlight On Nature in the center.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • On the Basic White under the open circle, the coral was stamped and stamped off with Highland Heather Ink several times.  The bubbles were stamped with Summer Sky Ink.
  • The crab outline was stamped on scrap Basic White cardstock with Blueberry Bushel Ink and the inside solid body with stamped off Blueberry Bushel Ink.  It was also colored with the light Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends on the body only.  It was cut with the Ocean Friends Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A couple seaweed pieces were cut with the Dies from Summer Sky cardstock and tucked in the side of the circle.
  • The greeting from Ocean Friends was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 3/4 x 3 piece of Blueberry Bushel cardstock and cut with a flag end.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Two-Toned Sparkle Gems were added to the background (LOVE the colors on these gems!)

CS179 – Ocean Friends

It’s a new month for our Creatively Simple challenges and here is this month’s theme!

OCEAN FRIENDS

This bundle is one of my favorites in the Mini Catalog!  I’ve used a couple of the coordinating DSP patterns on this card.  You could also cut out the lobster with the die to make this card even easier to make…but mine is stamped.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White c/s, scored at 5-½ and folded
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Summer Splash c/s is embossed with the Soft Waves Embossing Folder and added to the base card.
  • 1 2-1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Calypso Coral check Friends of the Ocean DSP is added to the background towards the right side.
  • The 1 x 4 Coral multi print DSP is added across the check pattern towards the bottom.
  • Cut large and small seaweed with Die from 1-1/2 x 3 Lemon Lime Twist and adhere to the front over the left side of the DSP.
  • On 2-1/4 x 3-3/4 Basic White c/s stamp outline of lobster with Calypso Coral Ink, stamp inside with Pumpkin Pie Ink.  Cut with Die and add to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • On 3/4 x 2-1/4 Basic White c/s stamp greeting with Berry Burst Ink, cut end to a point, add to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Add three Sunny Day Iridescent Dots, 1 small of each color, Summer Splash, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Animal Love

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week we are featuring Animal Love!  We are using one of the animal critter stamps for a Valentine!

OCEAN FRIENDS

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Calypso Coral cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pebbled Path cardstock was added on top.
  • The large, stitched heart from Hearts of Elegance was cut from Toadstool Gardens DSP and stamped with the greeting from Hearts of Elegance in Cajun Craze Ink.  It was adhered to the front towards the top.
  • The coral was cut with the Ocean Friends Die from Pool Party cardstock and added at the bottom.
  • One crab was stamped with Calypso Coral outline and stamped off Calypso Coral solid, then colored with the Peach Pie Stampin’ Blends.
  • The other crab was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink for the detail and stamped off Cajun Craze Ink for the solid image.  Both were cut with the Ocean Friends Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A small, stitched heart was cut with the Hearts of Elegance Die from Poppy Parade cardstock and added tucked in the claws.
  • The starfish were cut from Calypso Coral cardstock and added to the coral.
  • A trio of Sunny Day Iridescent Dots (2 blue, 1 orange) were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite JA Mini Catalog Bundle

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week we are featuring our favorite January-April Mini Catalog Bundle!  I’ve used SEVERAL new Mini Catalog items on here…can you spot them?

OCEAN FRIENDS

I really like this new Ocean Friends bundle…especially the bright colors in the designer paper!  But I wanted to go for a little different look on today’s card!  I recreated a card that I made YEARS ago using By the Tide and a lobster pot.  Here’s my version of a blue crab pot!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Boho Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Soft Waves Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • A 2 x 4 piece of Country Woods Designer Paper was added along the bottom.
  • The scallop border from the Ocean Friends Dies was cut from Basic Gray cardstock and added across the top of the DSP.
  • The stove pot was punched with the Modern Oval Punch from Gray Granite cardstock and the top portion trimmed off for the lid.
  • Two “handles” were cut from Basic Gray cardstock using the “U” from the Mini Alphabet Die.  The handle on the lid was cut from the bottom of the Cedilla accent letter.  All were added to the stove pot and lid, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The crab from Ocean Friends outline was stamped with Gorgeous Grape Ink and the inside with Boho Blue Ink and cut with the Ocean Friends Die, then added to the pot with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Love you was stamped with Boho Blue Ink on 1/2 x 2 piece of Basic White cardstock and the ends cut at an angle, then added to the pot.
  • A trio of aqua Tinsel Gems Three Pack were added in the background.
