It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week our theme is “Red & Green…Christmas in July”.  I always have fun using a leaf image to make a flower!  The leaf in the new Artistic Leaves stamp set worked perfectly for my poinsettia for Christmas!

Stampin’ Details:

• The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
• A 3 x 5 piece of Take a Bow Designer Paper (just sold out) was added to the front.
• The greeting was stamped on Basic White cut with the Party Banner Die.  Joy from Jolly Holly Stamp Set was stamped in Shaded Spruce Ink.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Five of the single leaf in Artistic Leaves were stamped on Basic White cardstock with Shaded Spruce Ink, the filled in with the Shaded Spruce Light Stampin’ Blends.  They were hand-cut.
• The single leaf was stamped five times around in a circle with Real Red Ink, then colored with Light Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends.  It was hand-cut.
• Another five leaves were stamped individually with Real Red Ink on Basic White cardstock, then hand-cut and added over the circle of red leaves.
• The leaf circle was added first to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then the single red leaves on top with more Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The green leaves were tucked under the poinsettia with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• A trio of large Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishments were added to the center of the poinsettia.
