Oh gosh…I'm running WAY behind this morning because of the LATE Sugar Bowl football game last night! I couldn't get to sleep because I was so wound up! Got to love those Ohio State Buckeyes…they did pull off the win at the last minute! Thought for SURE they would give that game away! But…GO BUCKS! (Oh…the OSU Basketball team won, too! Of course…they were playing at the same time!)
Lots of great things in the new Occasions Mini! I think the Oh Sew Suite of products is one of my favorites! I especially like the Sew Suite Stamp Set, but don't you LOVE that they have coordinating Designer Paper, Buttons, Fabric, Brads and Embosslit that go with it? Thank you, Stampin' Up! They make is SO easy!
This is my swap card for the Control Freak Swappers Occasions Mini Swap! I really focused more on the accessories, but the button card is stamped from Stampin' Up!'s Sew Suite under the embossed buttons. I'm always excited to get my package of swaps back from the other members. There are always TONS of awesome ideas and this time was NO different!
I started with a base of Crumb Cake cardstock and layered on Daffodil Delight that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder. I added a piece of Sweet Stitches Designer Paper with the antique sewing machines on it, then layered that on Regal Rose. I wrapped some Daffodil Delight 5/8 Grosgrain Ribbon to the back and did a pleating twist with the ribbon on the front.
I stamped the button card image from Sew Suite with Early Espresso on Crumb Cake cardstock and added three of the Sweet Buttons Embosslit Die to the front with Stampin' Dimensionals. The button card image is cut out and place on Dimensionals on the front of the card, too. Finally, I stamped Just For You from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Early Espresso on Regal Rose, punched with the Small Oval and placed it on the front. I love how bright and cheery this card is!

Hi there -I am a brand new demonstrator -haven't even gotten my starter kit yet but I am browsing the blogs and your blog posts and photos are amazing -I love the way you added the ribbon to the card and didn't pleat it the whole way across reminds me of the fabric actually being "pushed" through the machine .

Cheering for the Buckeye's is definitely a good reason to be running behind. I hope you cheered extra hard for me. I can't wait until I get back to the states and can actually watch them on TV. For some reason the German's just haven't gotten it through their heads why OSU football is an absolute necessity!!! 🙂
