I saw the gorgeous color challenge over on SCS today and decided it would be fun to play along. Plus, I had to see if I could redeem myself (see yesterday's post for my trials and tribulations of making that card! lol)
I used the same card as I did yesterday and believe it or not, this card only took me 20 MINUTES to pull together and photograph. I seriously don't know what was wrong yesterday, but it did last ALL day! I'm hoping that the rest of today follows this morning and I can get a lot accomplished! I'm starting to panic with all that I need to do before the Cruise!
The SCS color challenge colors were Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Basic Black and a neutral…I chose Whisper White. I started by stamping my "background designer paper" with Stampin' Up!'s stamp set, Flower Fest and those three colors on Whisper White. Do you remember when we didn't have hardly ANY designer paper and frequently stamped our own? Kind of nice to get back to that once in a while…although I do LOVE my Designer Paper! I layered it on Basic Black. I wrapped the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon around and tied a knot. Then I placed the entire panel on a layer of Crumb Cake and the base card of Cherry Cobbler cardstock.
To finish off the front, I stamped the larger flower twice with Basic Black on Cherry Cobbler and used my FLOWER FANCY PUNCH to punch them out! (Wasn't that easy!) I added a trio of small Rhinestone Jewels in the centers for the "dessert" of the challenge…bling! The greeting is from Stampin' Up!'s new Happy Greetings stamp set and I stamped it with Basic Black on Whisper White, then punched with the Wide Oval Punch. I layered it on a Basic Black Decorative Label punch. One flower was placed behind the greeting and the top one I used Stampin' Dimensionals to raise it up above the greeting.
See how nicely that pulled together? And so QUICK! lol!

I love everything about this card! I did have to laugh and felt connected with you when I read that it took you four hours to create the other card as that's kind of my 'norm' as a beginner stamper! If it can happen to you, then that helps me to know that maybe I'm not as terrible as I was thinking! Thanks for the new card and the great story.
