Creatively Simple 4 – Biggest Wish

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s second Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Hello” and we each create a simple card every week using that theme!  This is our fourth week and the end of the month, so next month we will have a different theme!

I used Stampin’ Up!’s Biggest Wish for my simple card today.  This set has all greetings in it with fun fonts!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Polished Pink cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Basic Black was added on top.
  • The 2 x 5 piece of Expressions in Ink Designer Paper was added across the center.
  • The tag was cut from Polished Pink cardstock with the Tailored Made Tag Dies and hello from Biggest Wish stamped three times on the tag with Memento Black Ink.  It was also stamped on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut, then added over the center one on the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The circle for the tag was cut from Gold Metallic paper and added to the tag.
  • Some gold Elegant Trim was tied on the tag with a bow.
  • The tag was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals on an angle.

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  This week we have a bright summer wreath!

 

DAISY GARDEN

I know Stampin’ Up! has that cute sun stamp set that is new in the Annual Catalog this year.  It would have been PERFECT for this challenge, but I don’t have it!  SO…I focused on the daisies on the wreath and the colors to create my card and used the Daisy Garden background stamp set!  It worked out really well!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Daffodil Delight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Bermuda Bay cardstock was added on the front.
    • A 1 x 5-1/4 piece of Simply Elegant Designer Paper was added down the left side.
    • The Daisy Garden image was stamped on a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock and colored with So Saffron Combo, Daffodil Delight Combo, Soft Sea Foam Combo, Old Olive Combo and Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends.  It was trimmed to the 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece and sponged around the edges with Bermuda Bay Ink, then added to the center.
    • A 1 x 3 piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock was punched on each end with the Banners Pick A Punch and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • A 1-1/4 x 1-3/4 piece of Basic White was stamped with the Hello greeting from Biggest Wish in Basic Gray Ink, then added to the banner piece.
    • A trio of Basic Rhinestones were added in the background for a little bling.
