Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. Our September theme is “Feathered Friends”. So many great bird images in Stampin’ Up!’s lineup…this should be fun!
CHRISTMAS FRIENDS
I know…it seems SUPER early to be showing Christmas cards already, doesn’t it? But the way time is flying by, it will soon be time to mail off those cards! This is a cute card using the new set, Christmas Friends, in the mini catalog! Isn’t he cute with his little Santa hat?
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon c/s, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pretty Peacock c/s was added on top.
- The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Winter Meadow Designer Paper (carryover Online Exclusive) was added next.
- A 1 x 4 strip of Pretty Peacock c/s was placed near the bottom.
- The owl from Christmas Friends stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Gray Granite Combo, Dark Daffodil Delight, Real Red Combo Stampin’ Blends.
- The trees were stamped with Lost Lagoon Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Light Lost Lagoon and Light Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends.
- All were cut with the Christmas Friends Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The greeting was stamped with Lost Lagoon Ink on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut around the words. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A trio of Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio were added to the background for a little bling.
