CSF847 – Christmas Friends

Another Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. We have a fun sketch for you to try this week!  The dashed line indicates it is cut and opening as a gate fold card!

CHRISTMAS FRIENDS

This little fellow has been hanging out on my desk for a couple months!  I had started him for another project and didn’t use him.  So, it was a perfect time to finish off a card with him as the focus!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 1-1/2 and 5-3/4, then folded the flaps towards the center.
  • A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 and 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 pieces of gingham Perennial Lavender Designer Paper were added to the front flaps (I love the gingham pattern that looks so masculine in a traditionally feminine package of paper!)
  • The largest Stylish Shapes circle die was cut from Pecan Pie cardstock.
  • The two greenery branches from Christmas Friends Dies from Old Olive cardstock and the bow from Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  They were adhered together and added to the side of the circle.
  • The moose was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and colored with Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, Real Red and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.  He was cut with the Dies and added to the front of the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Christmas Friends was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and the ends cut at an angle.  It was adhered to the bottom of the circle.
  • The circle was attached only to the right side of the circle.
  • Some Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the greenery and the background.

  • Inside, the greeting from Greetings of the Season was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
  • A 1/2 x 4 strip of the gingham Perennial Lavender DSP was added along the bottom.

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite Aug-Dec 2024 Christmas Bundle

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  We will be sharing our Favorite Sept-Dec 2024 Christmas Bundle this week!

CHRISTMAS FRIENDS

OK, I’ll admit.  This wasn’t even on my original list when the new Mini Catalog came out.  But, since I’ve had a chance to play with it, I really think it is my favorite!  Winterly Tree Tops has got to be a close second and the snowman snow globes in Snowy Wonder is my third.  This is a card I designed for my Club this month!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 2 x 5-1/4 strip of Take a Bow 6×6 Designer Paper was added down the right side.
  • The large circle in the Christmas Friends Dies was cut from Red Real cardstock and trimmed across the bottom, then added to the front.
  • A 1/2 x 4 strip of Take a Bow DSP was added along the bottom of the circle.
  • The moose (TOO cute!) was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends.  The scarf and socks with Real Red, Gray Granite, and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends.  He was cut with the Christmas Friends die and added to the front.
  • The hat (from the owl) was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Real Red Blends.  It was hand-cut and added to the moose head.
  • Two trees were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Garden Green cardstock and the trunk colored with Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends.  They were cut with the die and added to the front.
  • Happy Holidays was stamped with Garden Green Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 Basic White cardstock and the end cut at an angle.  It was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The word bubble was cut from Basic White cardstock and the notes from Basic Black cardstock using the Dies.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • I found some gold enamel stars and circles in my retired stash and added them to the top of the trees and circle.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. We have a pretty color combination for you to try this week!

CHRISTMAS FRIENDS                                                                                    

I’ve been having fun playing with Christmas Friends stamp set!  Such cute critters!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Early Espresso cardstock was cut with the greenery circle from Reindeer Fun Dies.
  • A 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Take a Bow Designer Paper was added to the bottom of the Early Espresso.
  • A 3-3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Take a Bow Designer Paper was placed behind the opening and then the entire layer added to the base card.
  • The owl was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Crumb Cake, Real Red and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.  He was cut with the Christmas Friends Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting was stamped with Real Red Ink on 3/4 x 3 Basic White cardstock and the ends cut at an angle.  It was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of White Loose Snowflakes were added to the background.

CS157 – Christmas Friends

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  Our September theme is “Feathered Friends”.   So many great bird images in Stampin’ Up!’s lineup…this should be fun!

CHRISTMAS FRIENDS

I know…it seems SUPER early to be showing Christmas cards already, doesn’t it?  But the way time is flying by, it will soon be time to mail off those cards!  This is a cute card using the new set, Christmas Friends, in the mini catalog!  Isn’t he cute with his little Santa hat?

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon c/s, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pretty Peacock c/s was added on top.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Winter Meadow Designer Paper (carryover Online Exclusive) was added next.
  • A 1 x 4 strip of Pretty Peacock c/s was placed near the bottom.
  • The owl from Christmas Friends stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Gray Granite Combo, Dark Daffodil Delight, Real Red Combo Stampin’ Blends.
  • The trees were stamped with Lost Lagoon Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Light Lost Lagoon and Light Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends.
  • All were cut with the Christmas Friends Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting was stamped with Lost Lagoon Ink on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut around the words.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio were added to the background for a little bling.
