CS113 – Cottage Wreaths

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  This month the theme is Fall cards!

COTTAGE WREATHS

I’ve used three layers of the Cottage Wreaths Dies to make my fall wreath, pulling the colors from the All About Autumn Designer Paper.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pecan Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 fall trees print from All About Autumn DSP was added at an angle on the front.
  • The 3 x 4 wood plank print from All About Autumn DSP was added at the opposite angle.
  • The wreath was cut from Cherry Cobbler, the next from Pumpkin Pie and the top from Crushed Curry cardstocks using the Country Wreath Dies.  The bow was cut from Pecan Pie cardstock.  Three leaf clusters were cut from Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  They were adhered together, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Grateful from Cottage Wreaths Stamp Set was stamped on 1/2 x 2 piece of Basic White cardstock with Cherry Cobbler Ink and cut at an angle.  It was tucked under the side of the wreath.
  • A trio of Adhesive Backed Speckled Dots were added to the wood plank DSP background.

CS106 – Cottage Wreaths

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme.  This month the theme is Monochromatic cards!

COTTAGE WREATHS

I was happy that the Cottage Wreaths Bundle carried over from last year’s catalog since I hadn’t used it much!  I thought a summer wreath would be pretty!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Soft Sea Foam cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 2-3/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Hello Irresistible Designer Paper (Online Exclusive) was added to a 3 x 5-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock, then adhered down the center of the base card.
  • The wreath branches were stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink on Basic White cardstock, then the leaves with Garden Green Ink over top.  It was cut with the Cottage Wreaths Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The bow was cut with the Dies from Soft Sea Foam cardstock and added with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • The greeting was stamped with Garden Green Ink directly on the DSP.

It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge.

 

COTTAGE WREATHS

Here’s what I did with the inspiration following mostly the colors and rustic feel on my card.

 


Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Soft Suede cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • The front was embossed with the Timber Embossing Folder.
    • A 2-1/2 x 4-1/4 piece of Celebrate Everything Designer Paper was added across the front.
    • The largest Stylish Shapes Circle was cut from Very Vanilla cardstock.
    • The circle was stamped with the Cottage Wreaths leafy wreath in Parakeet Party and the evergreen branches stamped with Garden Green Ink.
    • Three acorns were stamped with Soft Suede Ink on scrap Very Vanilla and cut with the dies, then added to the wreath with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The wreath was cut with the dies from Cajun Craze cardstock.
    • Grateful from Cottage Wreaths was stamped with Soft Suede Ink on 1/2 x 2 Garden Green cardstock, then added to the front.
    • A trio of gold Seasonal Sequins were added to the wreath.

CCMC734 – Cottage Wreaths

Hello!  It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  We have a wonderful color combination for fall this week!

COTTAGE WREATHS

For some reason I always gravitate towards stamps that have wreath elements…especially ones that have more than one season of images!  I made this one up for fall.  But I really love the little spider and Boo stamps!

 

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Sahara Sand cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 1-1/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Splendid Day Designer Paper was added towards the bottom of the front.
  • The 3-1/4 x 4-3/4 Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Cottage Wreath in Soft Succulent Ink.  The berries were stamped on top of the wreath with Blackberry Bliss Ink.
  • Two leaf swags were stamped with Sahara Sand on scrap Basic White cardstock and cut with the Country Wreaths Dies, then added to the bottom of the wreath with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The bow was cut with the Die from Blackberry Bliss cardstock and added to the wreath.
  • Stamp grateful from Cottage Wreath stamp set with Blackberry Bliss Ink in the lower left corner.

Hello!  It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  It’s a bright Color Challenge this week.  Love that Orchid Oasis compliments so many colors in our regular color line.

 

 

COTTAGE WREATHS

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 So Saffron cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • Add a 2 x 5-1/2 piece of Tea Boutique DSP down the center of the front base card.
  • Place a 3-1/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock over the center.
  • Cut two layers of Cottage Wreaths from Pear Pizzazz cardstock, four sprig branches from So Saffron cardstock, two leaves and bow from Orchid Oasis cardstock with the Dies.  Adhere to wreath.
  • Stamp greeting with Orchid Oasis on 1/2 x 1-3/4 Basic White cardstock, cut ends at an angle, adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals to wreath.
  • Add Iridescent Pearls to the wreath and bow.
