IM402 – Artistic Leaves

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a pretty fall wreath!

ARTISTIC LEAVES

I love the colors off fall!  Summer is my favorite season, but fall is a close second!  I love taking leaf images and making wreaths from them.  Here’s another idea using the single leaf in Artistic Leaves!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Autumn Toile Designer Paper was added on top.
  • A 2″ circle was punched from Basic Beige cardstock and stamped with the greeting in Early Espresso Ink in the center.  It was adhered to the front.
  • The single leaf was stamped twice with Old Olive, twice with Crushed Curry, twice with Cajun Craze and once with Pumpkin Pie Inks on Basic Beige cardstock.  The detail image was stamped with Basic Beige Ink on all the leaves.  They were hand-cut and added around the edge of the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The pumpkins from Choose Happy stamp set were stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Pumpkin Pie cardstock, the stems colored with SU100 Stampin’ Blends and the speckled stamp in Artistic Leaves stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink.  They were hand-cut and added to the wreath with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Two acorns and two berry branches were cut from Pecan Pie cardstock with the Branching Out Dies.  The acorns were brushed with Early Espresso Ink.  They were adhered and tucked around the pumpkins on the wreath.
  • Some Old Olive Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added under the pumpkins with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • A trio of Cajun Craze & Gold Dots were added to the background.

CS113 – Cottage Wreaths

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  This month the theme is Fall cards!

COTTAGE WREATHS

I’ve used three layers of the Cottage Wreaths Dies to make my fall wreath, pulling the colors from the All About Autumn Designer Paper.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pecan Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 fall trees print from All About Autumn DSP was added at an angle on the front.
  • The 3 x 4 wood plank print from All About Autumn DSP was added at the opposite angle.
  • The wreath was cut from Cherry Cobbler, the next from Pumpkin Pie and the top from Crushed Curry cardstocks using the Country Wreath Dies.  The bow was cut from Pecan Pie cardstock.  Three leaf clusters were cut from Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  They were adhered together, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Grateful from Cottage Wreaths Stamp Set was stamped on 1/2 x 2 piece of Basic White cardstock with Cherry Cobbler Ink and cut at an angle.  It was tucked under the side of the wreath.
  • A trio of Adhesive Backed Speckled Dots were added to the wood plank DSP background.

CCMC686 – Sparkle of the Season

Hello!  It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  The color challenge this week seems quite appropriate for the Fall and Halloween season…but our Challenge Team could use anything they wanted!

SPARKLE OF THE SEASON

I recently purchased the Sparkle of the Season Bundle and am SO happy that I did!  I love the variety of different wreaths and accessories you can add to them!  I have several to share with you over the next couple weeks!   The colors were perfect for a fall wreath!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Evening Evergreen cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was added on top.
  • A 1×4 piece of Evening Evergreen In Colors 6×6 DSP was added to the bottom with a 1/4 x 4 strip of Pumpkin Pie cardstock to hide the seam.
  • Thankful for You from Sparkle of the Season stamp set was stamped with Evening Evergreen Ink.
  • The leaf wreath was cut from Evening Evergreen cardstock and some leaves from Bumblebee cardstock with the Seasonal Swirls Dies.  They were adhered to the front with Tombow Multipurpose Glue.
  • Two pumpkins were cut with the dies from Pumpkin Pie cardstock and added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Two leaf branches were stamped with Bumblebee Ink on Basic White and cut with the branch die.  All were assembled and added to the front of the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Black & White Gingham Ribbon was colored with the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends, then tied in a bow and added to the wreath with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • Five orange Artistry Blooms Sequins were added to the wreath and another one added next to the greeting for a little bling!

SUOC109 Fall Wondrous Wreath

Our theme this time over on SUO Challenges is “Thanks for Anything”.  That is certainly a broad subject, but based on the fact that our American Thanksgiving will be here in a couple weeks, I went with a fall theme of gratitude using the beautiful Wondrous Wreath stamp set!  I love these colors together and the wreath tabs make this an easy stamp set to use!

 

SUOC109 Wondrous Wreath

As you can use, I only used the stamps…not the framelits.  I think it is just as pretty stamped on solid cardstock as it is cut out!  Here are the details:

  • The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Cajun Craze, folded in half.
  • The 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Crushed Curry was embossed with the Stripes Embossing Folder.
  • On the 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 Whisper White, the wreath was stamped first with Crushed Curry.  The second stamp was inked with Cajun Craze and the berries were stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink.
  • This was layered on a 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 layer of Rich Razzleberry cardstock.
  • On a scrap piece of Whisper White, the bow was stamped with Rich Razzleberry.  I did use the bow framelit, but you could easily cut this out by hand.  In the center of the bow is a Cajun Craze Candy Dot and I popped it up with a Stampin’ Dimensional to place on the wreath.
  • I used scraps of Crushed Curry and Rich Razzleberry Patterned Designer Paper for little banners along the right side.
  • The word Gratitude from Project Life’s Holiday Cheer stamp set was stamped with Cajun Craze on Whisper White and cut out.  I popped it up on front with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Wonderful Wreath – Fall

I think this is such a pretty wreath image, so I wanted to see if I could also use it for fall.  I think it worked!

 

 

Here are the details:

  1. The 4 1/4 x 11 Sahara Sand cardstock is folded in half to make the base card.
  2. On the 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Sahara Sand, I added a 4 x 3 1/2 piece of Sweater Weather Designer Paper, the added a 3/4 x 4 piece of the Chocolate Chip chevron pattern in the same package.
  3. I cut the Pumpkin Pie cardstock with the smaller end of the Top Note die and placed it along the bottom.
  4. I inked up the Wonderful Wreath image with Stampin' Write Markers in Pear Pizzazz, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze, then stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock.  I cut it out with Paper Snips and added it to the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  5. I made a double bow with the Early Espresso Bakers Twine and added it to one side.
  6. I used my Cajun Craze Candy Dots on the wreath and one at the bottom.
  7. I stamped Gratitude from Harvest of Thanks with Chocolate Chip ink and stamped on Very Vanilla, then cut it out and placed it across the wreath with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Love how bright and cheerful this wreath is in fall colors!  I wish I had a wreath for my front door like it!  lol!
