Dragonfly Dreams

IM165 – Dragonfly Garden

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  This week we have a beautiful dragonfly bouquet print.

Of course, I had to use Stampin’ Up!’s Dragonfly Garden stamp set…it was just perfect for it!

DRAGONFLY GARDEN

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Misty Moonlight cardstock.
    • The Dandy Garden Designer Paper is cut 3-3/4 x 5 and added to the front.
    • A corresponding 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Dandy Garden DSP s added across the front.
    • The circle is cut from Basic White cardstock with the Layering Circles die and stamped with the Dragonfly Garden flowers in Crumb Cake Ink.  It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The dragonfly from Dragonfly Garden stamp set is stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink on Basic White and the insides with stamped off Misty Moonlight Ink.  It is punched with the Dragonfly Punch and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Wink of Stella was applied to the dragonfly.
    • The greeting from Dragonfly Dreams is stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink on a 5/8 x 2-1/4 piece of Crumb Cake and cut the end at an angle.  It is adhered to the circle.
    • A trio of Gold Glimmer Dots is added to the background.

It’s Thursday!  Time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Color Challenge!  Today it is a nice, bright color combo!

Here’s what I did with the new Dragonfly Dreams stamp set that was offered as a special order for On Stage attendees.  It will be available in the new January-June Mini Catalog.  It’s SO cute!

Stampin’ Directions:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Bumblebee cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
  • I cut the Nested Label Die with the three colors, Bumblebee, Rich Razzleberry and Terracotta Tile cardstock, then lined them up on my grid paper and stamped the flowering stems with Memento Black Ink on top of them (at the same time).
  • The greeting was also stamped with Memento Black Ink.
  • Two dragonflies were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Light Mango Melody and Rich Razzleberry combo Stampin’ Blends.  They were punched with the Dragonfly Builder Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Wink of Stella was used on the wings.
  • Three Champagne Rhinestones were added to the labels.
