Flowing Flowers

I made this card for a good friend for her birthday last month!  The Flowing Flowers stamp set makes it easy!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Magenta Madness cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Designer Paper was added to the background (this may be the retired Eden one, but you could use any of the leafy prints we currently have).
  • A 2-1/4 x 2-1/4 piece of Magenta Madness cardstock was cut with a flag end and added towards the bottom of the DSP.
  • The 3-1/2 x 4 piece of Basic White was stamped with the Happy Birthday greeting in Evening Evergreen Ink.
  • The flower was inked with sponge daubers and Magenta Madness, Evening Evergreen, and Crushed Curry Inks, then stamped on the Basic White panel.
  • It was layered on a 3-3/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Soft Succulent In Color Jewels were added to the background.

SUPER simple, but a pretty card and I knew she loved flowers!

IM213 – Flowing Flowers

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  This week we have a pretty tablescape for our inspiration.

FLOWING FLOWERS

I really couldn’t decide which way to go with this picture, so decided to focus on the peach flowers.  I pulled out the new Flowing Flowers stamp set and used it for my card.

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pale Papaya cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Pale Papaya polka dot print Daffodil Afternoon DSP was added on the left side of a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock.
    • The flower was inked with Pale Papaya and the leaves and speckles inked with Pear Pizzazz and a sponge dauber before stamping on the Basic White.  Clean and repeat.
    • A 3/4 x 4 strip of the hearts Daffodil Afternoon DSP was added across the front.
    • Happy Birthday from Flowing Flowers was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 7/8 x 4 piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock and the end torn.  It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The Linen Thread was doubled and then tied in a bow and added to the greeting with a Mini Glue Dot.
    • A trio of Polished Dots were added in the background.
