Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a super cute oven mitt filled with baking goodies!
HOMEMADE TREATS
My husband LOVES gingerbread men cookies! I’ve already made one batch since Thanksgiving and they are GONE already! Unfortunately, I made them thicker than he likes, so they were soft. He likes the hard and crunchy like his mom used to make! So, another batch coming up when I buy more flour!
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 4-1//4 x 11 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cajun Craze cardstock was embossed with the Eyelet Embossing Folder and added to the front.
- A 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of Timeless Plaid DSP was added down the left side.
- The baking sheet from Homemade Treats Dies was cut from Basic Beige cardstock and omit stamped with the partial greeting from Homemade Treats Stamps in Cajun Craze Ink. It was added to the front towards the top.
- The Oven Mitt template (below) was printed on xerox paper and hand cut for a template. I drew around the template on the Timeless Plaid DSP and hand-cut.
- I cut a small square from a coordinating Timeless Plaid pattern for the patch and adhered to the bottom of the mitt.
- The trim is 1/2 x 2 Basic Beige and trimmed off the ends. Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends was used to draw stitch marks on the oven mitt.
- The hearts were cut with the Notes & Totes heart die from Cajun Craze cardstock and added to the front.
- The rolling pin was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Pecan Pie Ink and the handle colored with Cajun Craze Blends and cut with the Die.
- The gingerbread man was stamped with Pecan Pie on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut with the Die.
- The piping bag was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Die.
- A trio of Cajun Craze & Gold Dots were added to the patch and the baking sheet.
