IM442 – Lily of the Valley

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a paint color palette!

LILY OF THE VALLEY

I used the colors in this photo for today’s card!  The blues, greens and purples reminded me of lily of the valley!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Gorgeous Grape cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Hydrangea Hue cardstock was added on top.
  • The 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of 2026-28 In Color Patterns DSP was added to the right side.
  • The Everyday Arches was cut from Basic White cardstock using the die.  The center was brushed with Old Olive Ink and then stamped with the greeting in Gorgeous Grape Ink.
  • The grid pattern was cut with the Die from Gorgeous Grape cardstock ad adhered along the bottom of the arch.
  • The stem of the lily was cut from Peaceful Pine cardstock and the blossoms from Hydrangea Hue.  The blossoms were brushed with Gorgeous Grape Ink along the bottom. They were adhered together.  Set aside.
  • The leaves outlines were stamped with Peaceful Pine Ink and the insides with Old Olive and stamped off Old Olive Inks.  They were cut with the dies and adhered to the arch.  The lily was tucked inside.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the base of the flower with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • A trio of Antique Pearls were added to the background.

Our Creatively Simple theme for the month of May is called “Botanicals”!

LILY OF THE VALLEY

Another chance to use my Lily of the Valley bundle!  I really am surprised on how much I like using it!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pretty Peacock was embossed with the Floral Spray EF and added to the front.
  • Two sets of double leaves outline were stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink on Basic White cardstock.  Then the solid images stamped off with Pretty Peacock Ink inside the leaf outlines.
  • One lily of the valley branch was stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink on Basic White cardstock and the flower tops colored with Crisp Cantaloupe Stampin’ Blends.
  • All were cut with the Dies and one set of leaves cut in half, then assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A 3/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Crisp Cantaloupe c/s was stamped with the greeting in Pretty Peacock Ink and the ends cut at an angle.  It was adhered over the stems with Stampin’ Dimensionals at each end.
  • 1 large and 2 small White Shimmering Dots were added to the background.

We have a new Creatively Simple theme for the month of May called “Botanicals”!

LILY OF THE VALLEY

This Lily of the Valley bundle is so delicate looking!  I couldn’t wait to use it on this peek-a-boo card!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock.  The center of the front is cut with the Scalloped Blooms Die.  It is also scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The greeting is stamped under the circle with Hydrangea Hue Ink.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Bloom Boutique DSP was added to the INSIDE so that it peeks through to the front.
  • The lily and leaves images were stamped with Peaceful Pine Ink on Basic White cardstock and watercolored with Hydrangea Hue and Peaceful Pine Inks.  The top and bottom of the flower was adhered above and below the scallop circle.  The leaves were adhered to the bottom and side of the circle.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and adhered with a Mini Glue Dot to the bottom of the flower.
  • A trio of Antique Pearls were added to the background.
