Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is pretty decorated tree…just in time for Christmas!

MERRIEST TREES

I love the shape of the Christmas tree in this set…and had fun pairing it with these colors!  The Petal Pink gives it a little dash of unexpected!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Petal Pink cardstock is added on top.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White was stamped with the Merriest Trees solid image in Soft Sea Foam Ink and the details in Garden Green Ink.
  • The trunk was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink.
  • A 1-1/2 x 3-3/4 strip of Basic White was torn across the top and brushed with Balmy Blue Ink lightly to create a shadow.  It was stamped with the greeting in Garden Green Ink and adhered to the bottom of the Basic White layer, then added to the front.
  • The 1/4″ Petal Pink Diagonal Trim was tied in a bow and added to the tree with Mini Glue Dots.
  • The pink, gold and green Blooming Pearls were added to the tree for ornaments…three of each color.

Saturday Blog Hop – Non-traditional Christmas

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Non-Traditional Christmas Colors”!  This challenge will run for TWO WEEKS so our Design Team can enjoy the Christmas holidays!  How about some PINK Christmas Trees?  Gold and pink are all the rage in decorating for Christmas this year!

MERRIEST TREES

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 1-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece of Garden Walk Designer Paper was added on the right sid.
  • A Deckled Circle was cut from Berry Bliss cardstock and adhered to the front.
  • The largest Merriest Trees solid image was stamped with Bubble Bath Ink on Basic White and the details stamped with Melon Mambo Ink.  It was cut with the Merriest Trees Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The trim, star and base were cut from Gold Foil Paper and added to the tree.
  • The presents were stamped with Melon Mambo and Bubble Bath Inks and cut out, then added under the tree.
  • Tis the Season from Brightest Glow stamp set was stamped with Melon Mambo Ink and cut with the Deckled Circle Die and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background and star.

IM307 – Merriest Trees

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges.  Look at this wonderful, decorated cookie to inspire you!

 

MERRIEST TREES

I was surprised how well Lost Lagoon worked as the background for my tree!  Almost looks like a blue spruce we have in our yard!  The Snowflake Magic Specialty Designer Paper is a hidden gem, too!  I love this silvery white background!

 

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Snowflake Magic Specialty DSP was added on top (love the silvery look!)
    • The base of the tree was cut from Pecan Pie cardstock with the Merriest Trees Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The pink Sheer Ribbon Combo was looped back and forth, then adhered to the background with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The tree was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Lost Lagoon Ink base and White Craft Ink for the details.  Cut with the Merriest Trees largest tree die and added to the front over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The tree was decorated with small light pink and gold Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins and large dark pink Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio.
    • The greeting from Merriest Trees was stamped with Berry Bliss Ink on 1/2 x 3-1/2 strip of Bubble Bath cardstock and the ends flag trimmed.  It was added across the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

 

 

SOOO pretty and sparkly!  For a class, I’d use the ornaments that are with the stamps/dies and stamp them in Berry Bliss, Bubble Bath and Crushed Curry Inks.  But for this special card, I love all the blingy sequins!  OK…check out what Mary did with the Inspiration Monday Challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!

CS115 – Merriest Trees

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  This month the theme is “Tis the Season” cards!

MERRIEST TREES

This is a swap card that I made for an Incentive Trip Swap Group.  A little different since the tree is cut out of the front panel so the inside layer shows thru!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cherry Cobbler cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 was stamped with the detail tree image in Soft Sea Foam Ink in the center of the panel.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 Basic White was cut with the largest Merriest Trees Die, the tree trunk stamped with Pecan Pie Ink, and adhered to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The trim and star were cut from More Dazzle Gold Paper and added across the tree branches and top of the tree.
  • The greeting from Merriest Trees was stamped with VersaMark Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and White Embossed.  The ends were cut at an angle, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of red Iridescent Adhesive Backed Discs were added to the tree.
