TURTLE-Y CUTE
So, I’ve pulled out my Turtle-y Cute Designer Paper for this week’s blog hop! I LOVE these multi-colored dots! They worked perfectly on my little gifts I made for special friends during our recent Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip to Disney World!!! I found the Mickey Mouse pens at a little gift store in Florida and made the cover for them!
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 2 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 6-1/2 and 7.
- The corners were rounded with a Corner Rounder at the top and bottom.
- A 1-3/4 x 6 piece of Turtle-y Cute polka dot DSP was added to the back (inside) of the pen holder (the top was rounded first).
- The second piece of Turtle-y Cute polka dot DSP was added to the front flap (round the top corners).
- A 3/4″ Circle was cut through the front to hold the pen.
- Some Monoadhesive Glue was used to adhere to the front flap to the back.
- I used a Disney font to type the words “Have a Magical Day!” and printed on Basic White cardstock, then punched with the Labeled with Love Punch and re-punched it to shorten the width. It was added to the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The Mickey Mouse head was cut with a 1-1/4 Circle Punch and two 3/4″ Circle Punches from Basic Black cardstock. The trousers were punched with the 1-1/4 Circle Punch and cut in half and adhered to the Basic Black circle.
- Two 1/8″ Circles were punched from Crushed Curry cardstock for the buttons. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The pen slides down in the hole to the inside and some Gold Striped Mesh Ribbon was tied around the holder to hold the pen in place.
I finished them of by placing them in a cello bag.
I think it was a cute little gift to hand out and worked out perfectly to use for the Fun with Dots theme today!
