Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration challenge is a pretty stamp image!

PERENNIAL POSTAGE

Of course, using the Perennial Postage Dies were first on my list!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Boho Blue cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The large Perennial Postage Die was used to cut the 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock and added to the front.
  • A 4-1/8 x 5-3/8 piece of Countryside Inn Designer Paper was added on top.
  • The two butterflies from the Paper Butterfly Accents were added to the front.
  • The greeting from Blueberry Bunches Stamp Set was stamped with Boho Blue Ink on Basic White and cut with the small Perennial Postage Die.
  • The postmark from the Perennial Postage Dies was embossed on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut, then added to the front.  Had to see the detail in the photo!

IM316 – Painted Lavender

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration challenge is a pretty lavender print!

 

PAINTED LAVENDER

The Perennial Lavender Suite of products is definitely one of my favorites in the Mini Catalog!  I love the postage dies and the pretty lavender options with both stamps and dies!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Highland Heather cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was cut with the largest Perennial Postage Die, then embossed with the Layered Florals Embossing Folder, and added to the front.
    • The 1 x 3-1/2 and 1 x 4-1/2 pieces of Perennial Lavender Designer Paper s were criss-crossed on the front.
    • The branch from Painted Lavender Dies was cut from Lost Lagoon cardstock and two sets of lavender flower stocks from Basic White cardstock.  The flower stocks were colored with Highland Heather and Lost Lagoon Inks using a sponge dauber, then added to the front.
    • The greeting from Perennial Postage was stamped with Lost Lagoon Ink, then cut with the small label die in Thoughtful Expressions (LOVE those label dies!).  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the stems.
    • Two large Purple Shimmer Gems were added to the DSP.

CCMC799 – Flight & Airy

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.   We have a fun sketch for you to try this week!

FLIGHT & AIRY DESIGNER PAPER

I think the Flight & Airy DSP is so pretty with the watercolor images of birds, flowers and branches so I let it do ALL the heavy lifting on this card!  Only the greeting is stamped!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Boho Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 1-1/2 x 4-1/4 strip of Flight & Airy Pecan Pie grid DSP is added across the front towards the top.
  • Next a 2-3/4 x 4 small bird print in Flight & Airy DSP was added to a 2-3/4 x 4 piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock on an angle, then added to the front.
  • The 3/4 x 3-1/4 Fresh Freesia watercolor print in Flight & Airy DSP was added over it.
  • One of the small birds on a branch and flowers was cut from the DSP and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Linen Thread was wrapped several times in a loop, then added to the tail of the bird.
  • The greeting from Perennial Postage Stamp Set was stamped with Boho Blue Ink on a 1/2 x 2-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock and added on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Three Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the background.
