It's time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!  It's a FUN sketch this week.  Come play along!

 

 

My card uses a bunch of "starts" that I had on my desk!  The greeting from Really Good Greetings and the Deco Label were something rejected from an earlier challenge.  The banner behind it was also on my desk.  I had a bunch of these DSP flowers already punched from one of my Convention swaps and had leftovers.  So basically, I just added the white background and Marina Mist base card!  lol!  It's a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 square card, too!

 

 

Here are the details:

  1. The base is 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 Marina Mist, folded in half to make the base card.
  2. I added a 3 3/4 x 4 1/4 piece of Whisper White, with a 1/4 x 4 1/4 strip of Real Red attached along the left side to the front of the base card.
  3. The Basic Gray pennant piece is 2 x 4 and cut with flag ends on both ends.
  4. The Really Good Greeting was stamped with Basic Gray on Whisper White and punched with the Extra Large Oval punch.  It was adhered to the Real Red Deco Label with Stampin' Dimensions, then added to the pennant piece.
  5. Finally, I punched the Pansy Flower punch from Soho Subway Designer Paper and added an Itty Bitty Punched flower to the center from Real Red.  Inside that is a Rhinestone jewel.  The flower is popped up on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  6. I added a couple more Rhinestone jewels to the upper right area for a little more bling…can never have too much bling, right?

It's time again for the Create with Connie and Mary Summer Collection 2013 Saturday challenge…this week it is a FUN sketch for you to try!

 

Here's my take on it…I let the I Am Me Designer Paper do most of the work on this card with a greeting for the focal image!  I love this luggage print and the wonderful color combination!  I figured the greeting was very apt for the travel theme!  lol!

 

 

Here are the details:

  1. The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, folded in half to make the card.
  2. I cut a 3 x 5 1/2 piece of I Am Me Designer Paper and added 1/2 x 5 1/2 strips of Real Red at the top and bottom of it (good way to save on cardstock, and I used up some of my scraps!) then adhered it to the front of the card.
  3. I inked up the greeting from Really Good Greetings with my Real Red, Basic Gray and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Markers, then stamped on Whisper White.  I punched it out with the Extra Large Oval punch.
  4. That was adhered to a small Decor Label Framelit of Real Red with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  5. I adhered that element to a 1 1/2 x 3 piece of Basic Gray cardstock, embossed with the Square Lattice folder for some texture, cut with flag ends, then placed on front.
  6. For  little bling, I tied some White Bakers Twine into a bow on my Daffodil Delight button and placed it on front with a Mini Glue Dot.

Love how fun this card is…too bad my husband doesn't travel…I could give it to him.  Hmmm, maybe he should give it to ME when I go to Convention!  lol!
