CSF862 – Ocean Friends Favor

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  This week is a cheerful color combination to inspire you!

OCEAN FRIENDS

Serendipity!!!  So, normally we do cards for our challenges, but I’ve been wanting to show off these favors that I made for a few of my friends who were on the Royal Caribbean crafting cruise with me a couple weeks ago!  This package just happened to be the colors for today’s challenge!  We had a blast!  Cruising…and crafting…two of my favorite things!  These little “hot hands” are to hold your craft project while heat embossing, gluing, or any other time you need an extra hand!  I thought they were so fun and came in a variety of colors.  This one I saved for myself because I love the Lemon Lime Twist color!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The tag is the solid center shape from the Meant to Bee Dies cut from Summer Splash cardstock.  It was stamped with the bubbles in Summer Splash ink randomly in the background.
  • The coral was cut with the Ocean Friends Die from Calypso Coral cardstock, then cut in half.  It was added to the die cut tag.
  • The crab was stamped with Lemon Lime Twist outline and stamped off solid image on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Ocean Friends Die.  It was tucked in the coral with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Ocean Friends was stamped with Summer Splash Ink on 1/2 x 3 piece of Basic White and the ends cut at an angle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A coral Sunny Day Iridescent Dot was added to the background.
  • The top was punched with 1/8″ Circle Punch (retired) and tied around the 3 x 9 Printed Gusseted Cello Bag (retired).
  • The cello bag was tied closed with a 1-1/2 Gold Open Weave Trim in a bow.

Before Leadership, several of us were supposed to meet up with our stamping girlfriend who lives in Houston for a slumber party at her house!  Unfortunately, the cold and bad weather prevented us from flying out until the next day so we didn't get to do it, but went directly to our hotel.  However, I made some special favors for those who were going!

 

After looking ALL over town, I found these CUTE fuzzy slippers in a perfect shade of Strawberry Slush!  I couldn't believe they matched so well!  I rolled them up, then wrapped a belly band of Kaleidoscope Designer Paper around them.  I also wrapped 1/8 Bermuda Bay Ribbon around the other way and personlized each set with a monogrammed bag tag using the new Starburst Framelits and Circle Framelits and Typeset Alphabet Dies.

To add to the tags, I stamped a couple of the Petite Petals images in Strawberry Slush and punched them out, then added the gold sequins to the centers.

Didn't they turn out super cute???  And what a practical gift!  They can use the tag for their bag and the slippers around the house!  I bought them all or I would go back and get more!

Convention DVD Notepad Case

I made these DVD Notepad cases for my downline, upline and roommates at the Stampin' Up! Convention this year!!!  I used the AWESOME Cheerful Treat Designer Paper that is a hostess only special in the new catalog!  LOVE these patterns and colors of Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette and Lucky Limeade!

 

On the front, I used the new Pennant Parade Stamp Set and Petite Pennant Punch with their name spelled out with the Sweet Shoppe Lower Alphabet set.  I added a couple Melon Mambo small Boho Blossoms flowers with Old Olive Mini brads in the center and hung them on White Bakers Twine.  I covered the line between the two patterns with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch in Pink Pirouette.

 

 

Inside the DVD case is a notepad for them to use at Convention (I forgot to photograph the matching notepad inside!)  I also included a Bag Tag using the same DSP and their initial so they could tie it on their new Convention Bag!

 

 


For this Bag Tag, I used the larger Scallop Circle on the Scallop Circle #2 Die with two of the matching patterns of Cheerful Treat DSP and glued to a layer of chipboard in between for sturdiness.  I punched the top with the Crop A Dile and added the Melon Mambo Scallop Dots Ribbon (another share that I have available in my RIBBON SHARES HERE!)  I used the Serif Essentials Alphabet Die for the letters in Melon Mambo cardstock and jazzed them with Rhinestone Jewels.  And I added the DSP flower from Blossom Party Die to their initial with a Pear Pizzazz Glimmer Brad in the center.


Convention was SO much fun!  I love seeing online friends I've met thru the 9 years that I've been a demonstrator.  This actually was my 10th convention…I've NEVER missed one!  WOOHOO!!!
