It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  We have a pretty color combination challenge for you this week!

MADE WITH SWEETNESS

I had to have these fruit dies…great for creating little cards or tags for jams and jellies you make!  I try to go strawberry and blueberry picking every season I’m in Florida!  But even if I don’t get to pick my own, the Plant City farms are less than an hour away, so the produce is VERY fresh at the markets!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Calypso Coral cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Granny Apple Green was embossed with the Lazy Daisy Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • The recipe card was cut with the Die from Basic White cardstock and about 1/2″ trimmed off the bottom to make it fit better.
  • The Cute greeting was stamped with Granny Apple Green Ink and the “as can be” was stamped with Calypso Coral Ink.  The bees were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.  The recipe card was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The peach bodies were cut with the Die from Crushed Curry cardstock and the skin and center from Calypso Coral cardstock, then adhered together.  They center one was added flat and the two front ones were added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The banners were cut from Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral cardstocks using the Three Banner Punch, then trimmed and tucked under the recipe card on the right.
  • Some Pearlized Faceted Circles were added to the background for a little bling.

Today’s colors reminded me of peaches and I think it worked!  OK, check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did with this challenge over on Create with Stamping Friends.

CS150 – Simply Sparkling

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  It’s a new month and July’s theme is “Summer”.  Cards that have a represent the warmer temps and longer days…at least here in Ohio!

SIMPLY SPARKLING

It is peach season, and I just had the BEST peaches from our local farmer’s market!  Oh my gosh!  SO sweet and juicy!  I only bought three, so I’m headed back to get more!  Yummy!  That inspired my card using the cute little peach from Stampin’ Up!’s Simply Sparkling Bundle!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Peach Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The Peach Pie 2-24-26 In Color DSP was cut with the Perennial Postage Die, then cut off the bottom 1/3 and reversed the print, and adhered to the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White.
  • Some green Natural Tones Linen Thread was wrapped around the Basic White layer and tied in a bow on the front to hide the seam.
  • Some additional Basic White cardstock was cut with the smaller Perennial Postage Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The peach was stamped three times with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Peach Pie, Light Lemon Lolly and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends.  They were cut with the Simply Sparkling Die and added to the rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Simply Sparkling was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Peach Pie cardstock and the end cut at an angle.  It was tucked around the peaches with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of peach In Color Shimmer Gems were added to the background.
