Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. This month the theme is “NEW” cards…let’s use some of the new products in the Jan-Apr Mini Catalog and SAB Catalog on our cards!
HOT AIR BALLOON
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lemon Lolly cardstock was embossed with the Level 2 Softly Sophisticated Bundle’s Embossing Folder, then colored in the upper right corner with Daffodil Delight Ink using a Blending Brush to give some depth behind the balloon.
- The hot air balloon was stamped with Flirty Flamingo Ink, then Lemon Lolly and Blueberry Bushel Inks for the stripes and basket. They were cut with the Hot Air Balloons Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The inside banner and cloud were cut with the Dies from Basic White.
- The outside banner was cut with the Die from Lemon Lime Twist.
- Some Flirty Flamingo Baker’s Twine Three Pack was wrapped in circles and added behind the greeting banner, then adhered to the front with Stampin’ Dimensional.
- Three Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the background.
