It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. It’s a fun sketch challenge to inspire you!
BEACH DAY
I’ve had this Beach Day set for a while but hadn’t used it yet. I knew I wanted to try to use it for today’s sketch! This bundle has lots of little pieces, but this idea is easy enough to use for a class!
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Daffodil Delight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of Sunny Days DSP (SAB selection) was added to the background.
- The 2-1/2 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was blended with Pool Party Ink across the top portion, then stamped with the Beach Day greeting in Memento Black in the upper right corner.
- A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Crumb Cake was added to the bottom of the Basic White c/s, then stamped with the grass image from Beach Day and Crumb Cake Ink.
- A 1/4 x 3-1/2 strip of Melon Mambo was added behind the Basic White layer, then added to the front.
- The umbrella and chair from Beach Day stamp set were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Lemon Lime Twist, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the dies, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The sun (beachball) was cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock and added to the top.
- Three white Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio were added to the sand and sky.
