Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. It’s a new month and July’s theme is “Summer”. Cards that have a represent the warmer temps and longer days…at least here in Ohio!

BEACH DAY

Nothing says summer to me like a day at the beach! I love feeling the sand between my toes and just relaxing with a good book!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 3 x 4 piece of Crumb Cake was torn in half, then layered on top of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock.
The grasses were stamped with Crumb Cake Ink along the “sand”.
Three surfboards were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Full of Life 6×6 Designer Paper, then cut with the Beach Day Die. They were added to the sand with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sun was punched from Lemon Lolly cardstock with the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch (Online Exclusive) and brushed with Daffodil Delight Ink and added to the background.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the background.
The seagull was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Die and added to the sun with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
Three blue Iridescent Adhesive Backed Disks were added to the background.

Reminds me of my boys “surfing” along the edge of the water with their skim boards when they were little! They could do that for HOURS! Check out Debbie’s new Creatively Simple card over on Create with Stamping Friends!

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a pretty seashell print! It would go great in my Florida house…just my colors!

BEACH DAY

I struggled with what I was going to do with this challenge. I had the Seaside Wishes Bundle in my cart when it suddenly went out of stock! But, when I saw the little scallop seashell in Beach Day, I knew I could make something with it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Beige (NEW!) cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Balmy Blue cardstock was added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White was blended with Crumb Cake and Balmy Blue Inks using the Blending Brushes.
The grasses were stamped with Crumb Cake Ink along the bottom.
The waves were stenciled (using the Die Cut) across the top with Balmy Blue Ink.
The seagull was stamped with Early Espresso Ink at the top.
The Unbounded Love Scallop Oval was cut with the Die from Basic Beige cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The seashells were cut with the Beach Day Die from Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake and Basic White, then added to the scallop oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Another one was cut from Basic Beige and added to the grasses.
The greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on scrap Basic White, then hand-cut and added to the Scallop Oval Die cut.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added under the greeting.
The 2023-25 In Color Opaque Sparkle Dots were added in the background.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. A great sketch for you to try this week! You can replace the circles with ANY type of element like I did!

BEACH DAY

I had my Beach Day stamps sitting on my desk and thought the palm trees would be great for the circle elements!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Winter Meadow Designer Paper (carryover) was added to the front.
A 2-3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Pool Party cardstock was blended along the top with Pool Party Ink and adhered to the front.
A 1 x 4-1/2 strip of Crumb Cake was cut with the curved Beach Day Die and stamped with the greeting in Memento Black Ink, then added across the Pool Party cardstock.
Four palm tree leaves and two grasses were cut with the Beach Day Dies from Granny Apple Green cardstock and blended with Old Olive Ink. The tree trunks were cut from Crumb Cake cardstock.
All were assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two birds were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Adhesive Backed Swirl Dots were added for coconuts in the trees and one laying on the ground.

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. This month the theme is “Birthday” cards. I am always needing birthday cards!

BEACH DAY

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 1 x 4 strip of stripe A Little Latte Designer Paper was added to the bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White.
Happy Birthday and the bird were stamped with Memento Black Ink at the top of the Basic White, then added to the base card.
The Deckle Circle was cut with the Die from Pool Party Ink. A smaller portion of Crumb Cake was also cut with the Deckle Circle Die for the sand.
The sand was stamped with the shells image and Crumb Cake ink a couple times and the top torn across, then adhered to the Pool Party circle.
Three surfboards and the beach ball were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Parakeet Party, Azure Afternoon and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends, along with Poppy Parade for the beach ball. They were cut with the Beach Day Dies. All wer added to the “sand” with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Swirl Dots were added to the background and the sand.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. It’s a fun sketch challenge to inspire you!

BEACH DAY

I’ve had this Beach Day set for a while but hadn’t used it yet. I knew I wanted to try to use it for today’s sketch! This bundle has lots of little pieces, but this idea is easy enough to use for a class!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Daffodil Delight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of Sunny Days DSP (SAB selection) was added to the background.
The 2-1/2 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was blended with Pool Party Ink across the top portion, then stamped with the Beach Day greeting in Memento Black in the upper right corner.
A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Crumb Cake was added to the bottom of the Basic White c/s, then stamped with the grass image from Beach Day and Crumb Cake Ink.
A 1/4 x 3-1/2 strip of Melon Mambo was added behind the Basic White layer, then added to the front.
The umbrella and chair from Beach Day stamp set were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Lemon Lime Twist, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the dies, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sun (beachball) was cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock and added to the top.
Three white Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio were added to the sand and sky.
