It’s Day 3 of the Create with Connie and Mary Valentine Collection 2015 and both Mary and I have done up another card using either the Hey, Valentine or You Plus Me stamp sets. We are featuring both of these sets and the Stacked with Love Designer Paper Pack in our projects for the Valentine Collection.
It’s funny how some cards take a while to “jel” together. I had the pieces of this card sitting on my desk for a couple weeks. I was finally able to pull all of them together in a layout that I liked! (Don’t ask how many times this card was torn apart! lol!)
Here are the details:
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Calypso Coral, folded in half.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White was run thru the Big Shot with the Happy Hearts folder (you’ll have to do it twice because of the width).
- I layered a 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Real Red over a 2-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic Black. I added the ribbon across the bottom and tied a knot, then adhered to the front of the card.
- I stamped the bird image with Tuxedo Black Memento Pad once on Whisper White and twice on Calypso Coral cardstock, then cut out the banners as shown.
- I colored the bird with Calypso Coral, Real Red and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities and placed on the red panel. The center Whisper White was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- I punched two Small Hearts from Red Glimmer Paper and popped up on the Calypso Coral panels with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
It FINALLY turned out the way I had pictured in my head! lol! Make sure you head over to Create with Connie and Mary and see the card that Mary did today…it is super cute!
