This week’s Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is another color pairing! We are combining Sweet Sorbet with Orchid Oasis on our cards this week! I set out to make some Texas Bluebonnets Flowers!
WISTERIA WISHES – BLUEBONNETS
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Sweet Sorbet cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Orchid Oasis cardstock was cut with the Dots & Spots Die and adhered to the front of the base card.
- Two 3/4 x 4 pieces of 2022-24 In Color Orchid Oasis Designer Paper were added to the front.
- A rectangle was cut from Basic White cardstock using the Deckled Rectangles Dies. It was stamped with the stems in Parakeet Party Ink.
- The tops were stamped with stamped off Orchid Oasis Ink on scrap Basic White, then the bottom portion of the detailed bloom was inked and stamped full strength. Love the variation this gave to the blossoms! I popped them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Four of the dots left from cutting the Orchid Oasis background were added to the corners with Monoadhesives Glue.
- Hang In There was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 5/8 x 2-1/2 piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock and the end cut at an angle. It was adhered to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Don’t they look like bluebonnets? One day I’ll get to Texas an see the fields of them blooming!
