CS199 – Thankful Garden

It’s our last Creatively Simple masking challenge for the month. I’m doing the most traditional form…using masks on a stamped image. Stampin’ Up! has provided a package of masks to go with the Thankful Garden Bundle…makes it SO easy to color these beautiful flowers!

THANKFUL GARDEN

The color of my stamped hydrangeas almost duplicates the color of the ones that are right outside my studio window! SO pretty and a nice bright pink! I’ll need to get a photo when they are blooming again. I noticed one of the bushes does have buds on it, so not long now!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Strawberry Slush cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the hydrangeas in Memento Black Ink, then colored with Pretty in Pink (stamped off once for the base color, full for the second mask) and Strawberry Slush Ink for the detail mask. It was cut with the Everyday Arches Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two leaf clusters were cut from Garden Green cardstock and sponged with Garden Green Ink, then tucked under the arch on the left side.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Strawberry Slush cardstock and cut with the smallest Everyday Arches Die. It was added to the front over the leaves.
A trio of Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems were added to the background.

CS190 – Thankful Gardens

We’re continuing our theme of Gardens this month with our Creatively Simple challenge!

THANKFUL GARDENS

I always like to do a card using all of our new In Colors for my stamping classes. These colors especially coordinate well together. I like the pop of white against the colors!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
1 x 4 strips of each In Color…Darling Duckling, Timid Tiger, Secret Sea, Cloud Cover and Strawberry Slush were punched across the top and bottom with the Happy Labels Punch, then adhered to the front of the base card.
Two leaf clusters were cut with the Thankful Garden Dies from Basic White cardstock and added to the front.
The greeting from Thankful Garden was stamped with Secret Sea Ink on Basic White and cut with the Textured Notes rectangle die. It was added over the leaves with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three of the In Color Flat Pearls were added to the background.

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! This week is another sketch challenge…don’t you love them? We hope you play along!

THANKFUL GARDEN

Thankful Garden is a new Online Exclusive Bundle that I’ve had LOTS of fun creating with! This card came together very easily!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Peach Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock was adhered to the front.
The 3-1/4 x 3-1/4 panel of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Thankful Garden image in Memento Black Ink and colored with Peach Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends. It was added at an angle on the front.
A 1/2 x 3-3/4 strip of Lovely Garden DSP was added across the front.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1 x 2-3/4 piece of Peach Pie cardstock and cut with banner ends. It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three Earth Tones Shimmer Gems were added in the background.

CSF860 – Thankful Garden

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! This week is a fun soft color combination! We hope you play along!

THANKFUL GARDEN

Thankful Garden is one of the NEW Online Exclusives now available for everyone to order on March 4th! It’s so easy to color but also looks nice stamped monochromatic! I just did some light water coloring with a little different cut card base!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 9-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded so the short end is on the front.
The Thankful Graden greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink towards the left on the front flap.
I used the Peach Pie Marker and a Watercolor Painter to color a light background on the front flap towards the right side.
The hydrangea from Thankful Garden was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with Pool Party, Old Olive and Peach Pie Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Thankful Garden Die and added to the front flap with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the watercolor background.

A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Peach Pie Unbounded Beauty DSP was added inside the base card.
The three-leaf cluster was cut with the die from Old Olive cardstock and adhered inside over the DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals so that it partially peeks through the front under the hydrangea.
A portion of the Hydrangea was stamped and colored again the same as above and the small floral die used to cut away a portion, then adhered next to the leaf cluster inside.
A trio of Party Dots were added to the background.
Some beige Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack was tied in a bow and added to the stem.

Saturday Blog Hop – Casing Cindy Elam 2025

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. For the next several weeks we will be “Casing the Designer”. Each week we have picked a designer and will select a card she designed from the past year. We will use the Colors and Layout of her design and recreate our version using new stamps/bundles and products!

This week we are “Casing Cindy Elam”!

Here’s a brand new Online Exclusive bundle called Thankful Garden that is available for customers to purchase beginning March 3! Here’s how I recreated her card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of the black and white grid pattern in Lovely Garden DSP was colored with Summer Splash Ink using a Blending Brush and added to the front.
The arch from Everyday Arches Dies was cut from Summer Splash cardstock and added to the center.
The flowers from Thankful Garden were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White and water colored using Poppy Parade and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Write Markers. It was cut with the Thankful Garden Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The leaf cluster was cut with the Thankful Garden Die from Basic White cardstock and adhered under the top of the flower.
The greeting was stamped with Summer Splash Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies.
A trio of gold Low Profile Dots were added to the background.
