I told you a few weeks ago that I would share some pictures of the things I made for my daughter-in-law’s baby shower. Well, Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Card “Create”tions started right after that and my blog was filled with Holiday Catalog items! So…just am having the chance now to show them!
You might remember the card that I made for another shower HERE. I used the same ruffled little onesie from Something For Baby on her shower invitations. Along the bottom, I stamped Chalk Lines image with Strawberry Slush Ink and the flower on the onesie. The base is Pink Pirouette and the onesie is cut from the Subtles Designer Paper.
Here is a closeup of the banner I made for the mantle and Quinn’s room. The Smoky Slate cardstock was sponged with Whisper White polka dots (stencil from the Build a Banner Kit). The bottoms were cut with the large scallop circle on the Circle Framelits. I used the Floral Frames Collection Framelits for under the letters and the flowers on the ends, using Melon Mambo and Pink Pirouette cardstock. The letters were cut from Basic Gray with the Serif Essentials Alphabet Dies (retired) and I added Rhinestones on them. The center of the flowers were the large silver brads (retired) covered with Silver Micro Beads. I had some large grommets (retired) and used some Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon (retired).
Here is the mantle done. Allie has been doing weekly updates with the chalkboard!
I knew Allie loves tutu’s…so I covered one of my dining room chairs with the pink and gray fabric and then made a tutu skirt for the chair. She was princess for the day. Hopefully Quinn will use it on her high chair for one of her birthdays!
Next is a tutu diaper cake. I must admit. I bought more tulle, headband materials and silk flowers to make one completely from scratch, but then found this Diaper Cake Kit at Hobby Lobby! It was in the perfect colors so all I had to do was add the diapers and a tutu pompom at the top to finish it off! Quinn can wear the headband and tutu and, of course, use the size 2 diapers when she is ready!
A picture of both my darling daughter-in-laws (Beth and Allie) at the shower…such sweet girls are married to my boys. Of course, you can tell which one is Allie! Oh…look at her corsage. I didn’t get a picture of it. I tied three baby wash cloths together with ribbon, added a bright pink pacifier on front, then added a pin in the back.
Last night, everyone came over for dinner. Allie and I worked on the Alphabet and Number frames for Quinn’s room. The alphabet was cut from different Stampin’ Up! alphabet and number dies…unfortunately all retired…from Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo and Smoky Slate cardstock and adhered to Whisper White Textured cardstock. Along the bottom is a strip of Melon Mambo Polka Dot Ribbon. The huge flower in the center was a felt flower on a pillow, she just cut it out and adhered it to a canvas with gray/white polka dot fabric stretched over it. SUPER cute! The room is ready! Just waiting on Quinn due on October 11th!
Hope you like the baby shower items I made!
