Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. Our theme for November is Christmas! Time to be thinking about what you will be making for Christmas cards and gifts!

YULETIDE VILLAGE

I love the little houses and church in the Yuletide Village stamp set! Today’s is a quick card using one of the house images and the tag from Greetings of the Season (Online Exclusive).

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lost Lagoon was added on top.
The next layer is a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Winter Meadow DSP.
A 1-1/2 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock was torn across the top and added to a 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Pool Party cardstock. It was cut with the tag from Greetings of the Season.
The top portion was stamped with the snowflakes in White Craft Ink and let dry. Then the greeting from Greetings of the Season was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink.
The houses image was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with Smoky Slate, Soft Sea Foam, Light Daffodil Delight and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends. The bow and scarf with Poppy Parade Marker. It was hand-cut and added to the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Real Red & White Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow on the tag.
Wink of Stella was added to the rooftops and snowlines for a little sparkle!

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge set of cute houses!

YULETIDE VILLAGE

Not often, but once in a while I’ll purchase a set just because I like it. Didn’t really think if I’d use it in my business or not (but I probably will use it for Club this month!) It is a cute set and pretty easy to cut out when you want! It actually worked great for today’s Inspiration card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Night of Navy cardstock was added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Balmy Blue cardstock was stamped with the snow flurries across the top with White Craft Ink.
a 3 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock was torn across the top to make two snowbanks and layered on the Balmy Blue, then added to the front.
The houses were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White and colored with Light Balmy Blue, Light Pecan Pie, Light Gray Granite, Light Crumb Cake, Light Real Red, and Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. They were hand-cut and added to the snowbanks on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three evergreen trees were stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink and colored with Light Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends. They were hand-cut and added next to the houses with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Greetings of the Season was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the snowbanks.
Some White Loose Snowflakes were added to the background.
Some Wink of Stella was added to the snow on the roofs!

CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite non-Christmas Mini Catalog

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week we are featuring our favorite non-Christmas Mini Catalog set!

YULETIDE VILLAGE

Well, I think I went off track a little. Yuletide Village is technically a Christmas type of stamp set, but I wanted to make it into a thatched cottage! Good to show that this set just isn’t for Christmas, right? And I just didn’t feel up to making another leaf card to be honest! lol!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is4-1/4 x 11 Pecan Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock was added on top.
The 2 x 3-1/2 strip of Iconic Celebrations Designer Paper was cut into a banner at the bottom and added to the right side.
The greeting from Greetings of the Season was stamped above with Memento Black Ink.
Th cottage, stone walls, and trees were stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 2-1/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White. They were colored with Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake, Wild Wheat, Old Olive, and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends.
The sky was brushed with Pool Party Ink using a Blending Brush.
The cottage was cut with the Deckled Rectangle Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Pecan & Clear Ribboned Dots were added to the background.
