Festive Flurry Candle & Mat

October 19, 2013 By Connie | 38 Comments

WinterBadgeLAST DAY FOR EARLY BIRD PRICING!

Wow!  I hope you enjoyed PREVIEW WEEK and all the card and project inspirations you saw.  We're getting ready to start our Create with Connie and Mary Winter Collection 2013 tomorrow (Sunday)! Today it's finally MY turn to share my FREE Preview Project and BLOG CANDY…hope you are inspired to make one for yourself!  Make sure that you subscribe, because after today all our Winter Collection 2013 projects are only available to subscribers!  AND it is the LAST DAY of Early Bird Pricing…save $5 off the regular $29.95 US price.

So…what did I do for MY Preview Project?  I made a lovely Festive Flurry Decorated Candle and Candle Mat for a centerpiece for the holidays!  I have got to tell you…this is is SOOOOOO much more impressive in person!  Everyone who has seen it has fallen in LOVE with it.  And, it's not hard with using Framelits!  I'd love to do this as a class for my customers, I'd include a package of Frosted Finishes Embellishments in the price since you use quite a few of them…but they sparkle SO pretty!  Then they can take the rest home with them!  Need to see if I can fit it in my schedule!

Festive Flurry Candle Mat

And…did you notice what I wrapped the candle in itself?  I used the Birch Paper in the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit!  I LOVE that paper…the texture…and I stamped the snowflakes randomly on it for more depth!  TIP:  If you want to burn the candle, I'd recommend slipping off the paper sleeve…or burn it down a little bit and add a tealight in the center so you can use it safely.  Plus put it on a glass coaster.

So, I bet you'd like the step-by-step photo directions for making the Festive Flurry candle and candle mat centerpiece?  Head on over to Create with Connie and Mary and you will find a FREE TUTORIAL!

BUT…don't forget about the BLOG CANDY!  I will be giving away a FREE subscription to Create with Connie and Mary Winter Collection 2013!  Leave me a comment today SATURDAY, October 19th, on my blog with your full name and be entered into my drawing!  It's the LAST CHANCE to win a FREE subscription (if you've already joined, we'll apply your win towards our Spring Collection 2014!)

I love stamping cards, altering 3D items and making little favors. I've been stamping for over 20 years and will have my 19th year Stampin' Up! anniversary in early May. I love being part of something that sparks my creativity and hear people comment, "you MADE this?" I also enjoy sharing that passion with others in my classes! If you live anywhere in the Delaware, Dublin, Powell, Lewis Center, Hilliard or surrounding Columbus, Ohio areas, join us! I love to meet new stamping friends. Email me for a current class schedule... I'm adding new classes all the time!
