April Blog Tour: Petal Potpourri

It’s time for the Control Freaks “Tour de Freaks” Blog Hop! This month’s theme is “Time to Celebrate”! We have lots of things coming up to celebrate…graduations, end of the school year, Mother’s Day, and of course birthdays! You’ve probably just come from Debbie Henderson’s blog, weren’t her projects fun?

Well, I love Petal Potpourri and decided to use it for my projects this month! I made a little favor box and card to match! Here’s the card:

Aren’t they SOOOO cute? Love the colors and I’m sad that Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding will be retired soon. The background is stamped tone-on-tone with Crisp Cantaloupe Ink and the outline flower. The Calypso Coral Flower is set off against the Garden Green Flower Medallion punched piece and Gold Soiree Designer Specialty Paper! The center is Pistachio Pudding punched with the 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch, then the circle stamped with Gold Metallic Ink. Add a little 1/8″ Gold Ribbon for the finishing touch on the card and cello bag holding the candy! The beautiful script greeting is from Stampin’ Up!’s Lovely Amazing You stamp set!

OK…next stop is Justin Krieger and his fabulous projects, then continue around on the tour!

I love stamping cards, altering 3D items and making little favors. I've been stamping for over 21 years and just had my 20th year Stampin' Up! anniversary in early May. I love being part of something that sparks my creativity and hear people comment, "you MADE this?" I also enjoy sharing that passion with others in my classes! Beautiful card and project! I love tone on tone stamping, looks great in the Crisp Cantaloupe. I am so going to miss that color too!
