It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This month our challenges will be to “case the catalog”. Each week we have a new card design to inspire us taken right from the catalog…we could use the colors, the layout, or the stamp set and dies. This week I’m using one of the new July-Dec stamp sets, Rustic Pumpkin for my card, using the layout as inspiration!
I love that this set has a very realistic pumpkin in it and that it can be colored! I paired it with the new July-Dec Host Only Celebrate Everything Designer Paper…it really does have a little bit of all celebrations!
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 1 x 4-1/2 piece of the Celebrate Everything DSP was added towards the left side at an angle.
- A second 2-1/4 x 5 piece of leaf print Celebrate Everything DSP was added on top.
- An 8″ piece of Silver Threaded Twine was folded in half and tied towards the top with some Linen Thread. It was added to the front at an angle with Mini Glue Dots.
- The pumpkin from Hello Harvest stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Dark Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Combo Blends. The stem with SU 200 Blends. It was cut with the Rustic Pumpkin Dies and added over the Twine with doubled Stampin’ Dimensionals to give it extra height.
- The vine was cut from Garden Green cardstock with the Dies and added to the pumpkin.
- The greeting from Hello Harvest was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 3/4 x 2-1/2 piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock, the end cut at an angel and adhered under the pumpkin edge.
